there was a thread about this a while ago. a lot of actually ftm anons (i.e., experience dysphoria and are wither transitioning or trying to transition) including myself agreed it's different in cosplay because you're representing a character and not yourself. people aren't looking at you and saying you're a girl, they're looking at the character. it's basically the same as how crossplayers don't get uncomfortable as being seen as the other gender. it's not you, it's the character.

i mean, there's limits to that (i personally cosplay girls that show no cleavage/are flatchested so i can wear sports bras and only wear it *maybe* half the day) and if they're constantly cosplaying charaters with tons of cleavage or showing boobs out of cosplay, i'd be skeptical, but i'd personally cosplay usagi.

SS is another way to say "Proxy service" or buying service (The actual term is shopping service.) They basically buy stuff for you and contact sellers if you don't know the language. Good for things like Taobao and Japanese buyers.

I have had spare shoes for cosplays too, if the shoes are uncomfortable or not suitable for walking around certain areas. Also for anything barefoot, I will have some flip-flops or something easy to kick off for pics.

Yes, it's because of that, if you are not physically appealing you shouldn't wear revealing costumes because you are doing it WRONG. You have three paths when you cosplay: aim for look exactly like the character you want to look like; being an attention whore, slutifying a comic/manga character; or a mixture of both paths, making an accurate cosplay of a slutty comic/manga character.

If your phisical features impede you to look like as a certain character and yet you choose to cosplay him then you are FAILING at cosplaying. Period. I know, truth hurts, but if you are fat you can NEVER be a good Elsa or a good Ryukko (not to mention the "slutifying characters" group). And thats obviously because you are not achieving the goals of the respective paths: look hot and/or have physical resemblance with the character you elected.

I the opposite of this is also true. If you are thin, cosplay of a large character is probably not a good idea. Short, tall, etc. Go for similar body styles/sizes and you are on the right path.
