There are a few lolitas on this board in wheelchairs, nobody cres, same goes for cosplay. Nobody cares. If you cosplay a character already in a wheelchair, you won't attract attention. Aside from that, you live every single day in a wheelchair, the attention will be more or less the same.

being deformed or otherwise physically disabled can actually be a huge pain in the ass for conventions and such. I've had bad knees since i was a kid, and when i was 16, i was hit full force with a fucking yaoi paddle, fucking up my back. I walk with a cane and use a wheelchair in places like large airports and malls. people treat me like shit because of it.

I don't think OP was trying to call attention to themselves, rather raise awareness about differently abled cosplayers and likely con-goers in general. Much of the awkwardness of friends trying to help goes away if they will just let the person be.

There's is nothing to dislike about Misa on Wheels except maybe the attention she gets, which honestly boils down to your own envy. She is literally one of the sweetest and genuine people I've ever known, and I've known her personally for years, before she had any type of e-fame. This girl is amazing, loving, and she tries so hard and has succeeded despite her disability. The only thing you know is what is poorly conveyed through a computer screen. We can talk about differently abled cosplayers, fine. But don't try to flame out anything on that girl. She's not hurting anyone, and if she's bothering you that's your own fucked up psychological problem. not hers.
