7995061 No.7995061 [Reply] [Original]

So PSA about anyone that may have order the La Dam Est La Licorne (The lady and the Unicorn) from JeJt. It seems they made a mistake with the sizing. I had ordered size 1 and it was 11cm smaller then what was stated on the site.

Apparently they have not been answering messages yet about this mistake and there is not resolution about this as of yet. I'm putting this out there, so hopefully it will help raise some concern.

I THOUGHT I GOT FAT (well I did but) OMG THANK YOU.

Is it a good idea to write in to JetJ and ask about it? Where else are girls talking about this?

>> No.7995080

>>7995070
It was Coco Milk(Chokelate) that just made a post about it on her FB page. I had actually received my dress on friday but since I was super busy all I did was open the package to make it was the right dress. I did notice it seem smaller then most regular size 1 Jejt that I had ordered before them, but I didn't have time to try it on so I put it in my closet and pretty much forgot about it till I saw her post. I thought I was just going crazy too and just made an honest mistake but damn, she was right!

So right now all that I know is that some people may have message them about it but haven't heard from anyone that got a reply (someone in the comments said they replied but told them to piss off but they have deleted their comment so not sure if true or not...) but I plan to send them a message soon about this. I'm sure if they get a lot of messages from unsatisfied customers then they might hopefully fix the problem. If not, I might be afraid to give them any more of my business in the future. I usually on average order about 2-3 dresses from them a year and occasionally a cardigan.

Okay, I'll measure the dress when I get back and see if I need to email JetJ. I tried mine on but thought it didn't fit because I'd gained weight recently.

>>7995061
Man, I'm fucking pissed, if that is true to the entire series and not just a few random pieces. There is no way, I'm going to fit into it if it's 11 cm than what it's supposed to be. I even ordered the new lavender petticoat just for this dress, but without the dress I have no use for it either.
I ordered it via fromjapan, and they didn't even receive it yet so there is a chance JetJ had not sent it out yet.
Do you guys think, if I message fromjapan about it, they would be able to cancel my order and give me a refund? I really have no use for a dress that does not fit, and considereing I'm also going to have to pay customs for it it would be a lot of wasted money just for nothing.

>> No.7995109

>>7995106
FJ doesn't cancel orders once you've paid and I doubt they'd contact JetJ for you about it since their customer service is robotic as fuck. Good luck though anon.

>> No.7995111

Hopefully its just the size 1 but since i haven't seen anyone that had ordered the other sizes(2 or 3) said anything about it being too small yet.

Well, I guess I'm fucked then. I don't want to risk to be banned or something, since fromjapan is the only shopping service I like to use.
Only hope for me is that they did not fuck up my order and got the size right for my piece. I keep my fingers crossed.

>> No.7995122

>>7995111
I'm >>7995106
I also ordered a Size 1, so I really hope it's just a random mistake by them and it didn't effect the entire size 1 batch of the series.
At least you can sell a Size 2 or 3 again if it's 10cm too small. But how many lolitas are there with a waist of less than 60cm? Yeah, almost none. There is no way we can get rid of the pieces again, if it happened to all of them.

>> No.7995132

>>7995122
I tried it on and the waist was not a problem for me, it was the bust. Size 1 is suppose to fit up t 88 cm (I'm about 87) and when I tried to zip it up, there was still about 2-3 inches around my bust that it wouldn't zip past. So if you have a small bust hopefully you are fine. I'm unfortunately a 32D and despite this, have never had a problem zipping in to a Jejt size 1 in the past due to have a small upper frame.

I just emailed Jejt though about the issue and hopefully they reply with a resolution. I'm hoping for a refund since Size 2 is soldout and I'm assuming it has the same issue as size 1.

>> No.7995139

>>7995132
My bust is 85cm, I think that would still be too small. If only the bust is affected though, you can still convert it into a skirt. I might consider this when I receive the dress and it doesn't fit.

>> No.7995140

>>7995106
I used FJ too and they don't cancel. They told me that if I apply for the check service (150 yen) and if the sizes indeed don't match they might be able to get a refund. But they also said I needed to apply before the item was received at the office and it just arrived before I could reply. So idk what to do.

I really hope that JetJ replies soon and works on solving it, because it's my favorite brand and I would be so disappointed otherwise :c

>> No.7995142

>>7995139
That's true, everything seems to be fine till I get to the underbust area where the skirt ends. And then I can't zip it up.

>> No.7995146

>>7995140
That sucks, I didn't apply for the check service because I thought "what can go wrong? It's JetJ and I trust them."
But that unsettles my faith with them, kind of. I'm also not so fond with their pieces getting more and more expensive despite having a very basic design. I only caved in this time because I really loved the print and because of their otherwise excellent quality and service. But if that is not a given anymore, I'm not sure if I want to buy from them again in the future.

I've heard this is common for j et j. I've heard other ladies from my comm mention that the bust is a few inches too big.

Personally I'd rather too big than too small. You can always take it in, but it's hard to let anything out

>> No.7995368

>>7995360
Are we talking about the same dress or just JetJ in general? Because it wouldn't make a lot of sense for the dress to be too small in comparison to the original measurements and then a couple be too big, since they would be made with a pattern, unless they used different patterns.

To anyone who ordered through FJ, I would contact them anyway. Who knows. And of course contact JetJ!

This is the response I got from FromJapan, no personal response from JetJ on my e-mail yet.

"Dear Nina R,

Thank you very much for your email.

Regarding order ****Y, the item arrived alreay at our warehouse,
so we would not be able to add the Check Service. Still, we will see
if we can do it this once as an exception.

Also, the store contacted us because apparently the measurements are 1-2 cms off (not the 11 cms you mentioned), so they would like to know if we want to send the item back so they can fix these measurements. They say that, if that is the case, the item would be fixed and ready around the end of January.

Shall we send back the item to the seller, so thay fix it, or do you wish
for us to ask them if we can cancel it and get a refund?"

>1-2 cms off
Well, I'm afraid that if I send it back they won't fix it properly, because apparently they don't see the problem.

So I picked up my dress....

When I lay the dress flat, it measures 34cm across, so 68cm around. I can zip it up, but I'm finding the zipper gets REALLY difficult to do when it gets to the seam at the under bust. Even when I try doing the zipper when I'm not in the dress it's difficult. The extra 2cm would be nice (I don't have wiggle room, but my breathing is not constricted nor am I uncomfortable, I can just feel the tight seam). Because the zipper isn't the greatest and I'm having such difficulty trying to get it up I'm worried I might break the zipper or zipper seam....

The dress is baggy for me in the underarm area but I find that's a common complaint for j et j dresses. My actual bust area is fine, not squished nor too baggy (I'm a 34A)

On further note, I just measured my underbust at 70cm so either I measured that wrong or the dress is actually correct? (either way I guess I can't seem to use a tape measure very well)

No, though the underbust is not a big deal my bust will not fit. I usually fit an 88 cm which is what is listed for size one on the site for this dress but I can't fit in. When I measure it it's only about 80 or 81 cm for the bust.

Got mine today and just measured it. It is hilariously small around the bust. This is for a size one.

I can't find my measuring tape, so I had to use my SO's measuring tool, so I don't have the exact centimeters. Anyway, it measured approx 16 inches across the bust, which might be doable for some, but definitely not for me. It's approximately a little over 81 cm when it should be 88 cm.

The waist seam is around 13 inches (33 cm), so it should fit up to around 26 inches...except that waist part actually comes just under the bust. I don't know how many people have a 26 inch rib cage.

Definitely sending mine back for fixing. So disappointing.

I was emailed this last night. It seems they will be listing the dress as a gift if you send it back to them to be fixed. I figured I'd pass this on as I know customs was something I was worried about. The English isn't the greatest though so I found the email hard to understand at points.

"Sorry for the confusing and delay in getting back to you.

This has come about through several causes.

One of the garment factory made to the measurements bust and waist (under bust) smaller about around 2cm by our size.

And our pattern maker designed the condition of having a higher waist line of Gravity than usual.

Normally, Garment body length is 20cm to 27cm for our dress that high waist dress is length under 18cm.

We have to keep over around 10cm by waist size for - La Dame à la licorne Robe –

Or mark down for under bust size and more information on website.

We have to need to do anything in order to resolve the issue this time.

We will be able to order to printed company for garment body’s fabric after the New Year holiday.

We should be adjust the length to the arrangement for under bust and pleated.

If you need alteration for under bust (around 10~15cm), Please sent back the dress to our office.

We refund the postage by paypal, give the points (for members) or deduct from your additional order.

About resend, No commercial Value for Gift or with your remaining orders.

We need a little more time for alteration and resend about around 45days. (in February 2015)

We will make efforts to shorten the delivery time…

There is a bit of a discrepancy here for the state of being completed between the measurement on website.

Bust→size1 is 87cm, /Under bust→ size1 is 68cm,/Strap length→size1 is 27cm,

/Garment body length→17.5cm/Skirt length→size1,2 & 3 each 61cm

Size1, 2 and 3 are same measurement for Skirt length and the garment body length.

We apologize for causing inconveniences to you with this problem.

Anon, nobody will sell you theirs because there's no way to get a replacement if they do so (and believe me, I want the fucking unicorn dress, in a size that fits me, I don't want your money).

However, JetJ is probably swimming in too-small size 1 dresses. You have nothing to lose sending them an email suggesting they put those size 1 dresses up for sale (or, selling you one, at least).

I've been wondering about this. If it were so easy to add 10cm to a dress bust I would own so much Mary Magdalene. As it is I suspect they're going to remake them, or perhaps remake the size 2 into size 1 and make a new batch of size 2.

Either way, no harm for anon(s) to let them know some girls want even smaller-sized dresses. Even if JetJ says "no", they might introduce a size 0 for their future prints.

I just sent mine back today. I'm very nervous about it because all the information they sent was in shitty engrish and and I haven't sent anything to Japan in years. Shipping with tracking was stupidly expensive. They better come through with reimbursing that.
