I'm not a pro on eyebrows or anything, but just looking at my own eyebrows I would suggest making them a little straighter until the curve down to the outside. Men tend to have straighter flatter brows.

Little hard to draw with a mouse and bum wrist right now, but yeah.

Of course, I can't hide the obvious tells. You know... shoulders, forearms, hands, and jawline. Those are the the fun part anyways.

Ok, here's a question I asked WAY before, but I figured I'd ask again to see if there's any new perspective.

I'm a fat chick, hoping to crossplay a fat dude. Although I guess its not as bad as some, I feel my face is still fairly feminine. The key to crossplaying F to M is face contouring, but how the fuck does one do that when a guy's face is covered in fleshy rolls? Like, is there actually that sound a difference between a fat guy (sans neckbeard sadly, that wouldave probably solved all my problem) and a fat girl's face?

Makeup is still my weakest area in cosplay, so all attempts to try and figure something out just keep falling back to "Try and highlight shiny parts of the face and hope for the best" when I think it out.

I love crossplaying, but I don't do it too often because I find binding uncomfortable.

Some advice I'd give if you're afraid of looking bad. Take a video of yourself (not a picture) and look at the video in 2 or 3 days. It should give you a glance at what you look like to other people. Reason I say wait a few days is because immediately after applying make-up it's harder to tell the difference. If you wait a few days that gets cleared up and you get to see a more objective view of yourself.

Why would it be awkward regardless? I've accidentally used the woman's room once or twice, walked out to use the sink and was surprised to find a woman there. Usually as long as you aren't acting suspicious you can just laugh it off.

Mister Glasshound, you seem to be aware, but the biggest givaway is your jaw and slight double chin you got going there. Contouring will only help so much, but other things you can do if you want to pass is choose outfits that cover your lower arms and shoulders. Stuff that has sleeves can work quite well.

To level out proportions with the chest, I would have added small butt pads to give you some curve, and although you do have a masculine jawline (which is handsome, not so great for a girl though) I would try getting a wig with more volume and take photos with your chin tucked in, not out.

Any tips on posing? I find tilting my head down helps a lot but it makes the chin so prominent.

Utilize your hands to cover your chin (peace signs, "Oh!" expression with hand over your mouth, etc). Also you should work your make up a bit more. Arch your eyebrows and get some lashes. Contouring could probably help your nose a bit. Aaand lip color!

Thanks gents (peoples?) for the feedback. I skipped padding on this particular costume because the slit dress goes up so high. I shaved the parts that show, but the one that terrifies me was shaving the eyebrows down a bit. I only had one chance!

Frankly I was aiming above making people want to loose their lunch, but "passing" was not necessarily the end goal. I did it for my personal friends at cons, and they received it well. I don't have any chances to wear it again soon, but that gives me time to practice makeup and contouring.

Self posting. My eyebrows aren't trimmed in this shot but I got a trimmer recently and I've been working on it. There is something that still seems a little off to me but I can't put my finger on it.

I will be getting some new glasses in the future with a rounder frame, as I've been rocking the square style for some years now. I wonder if that might help a bit.

I'm also thinking about getting some false eyelashes. I used mascara and eyeliner in this shot but you can't really tell, so I'll be doing a bit of research on that as well.

Different anon, but on multiple occasions if I'm washing my hands or something I've had women walk in, see me, then walk right out again to check that they didn't go in the wrong bathroom. The brow and nose thing are genetic though so you won't be fixing them. Fix your hair, trim those eyebrows and get some better glasses and you might make a 4/10 pass.
Unfortunately you'll always look fairly manly due to genetics though.

Didn't realize I had this picture lying around. It's not as recent, but I style my hair differently now. For everyday use, I comb all of my hair straight back and allow it to settle on the sides for a more masculine look, but for crossplay, I comb it forward, split it a little off center, tuck some of the hair behind my ears and bring the rest of it forward. Reason is because it helps to hide my forehead a bit, as well as my eyebrows. Some time ago I posted in a hair thread looking for advice, but I can't really get bangs as it'll look awkward during normal days.

Alternatively, I have a few wigs I can use.

1. Pluck hair between eyebrows if they go beyond the line shown. Best way to figure this out is to use a make up brush or pencil. Put it against your nose and then point it vertically at your brow bone. If you have wide-flaring nostrils, go for just inside the inner corner of your eye instead.

2. Pivot the brush until it crosses your pupil when looking straight forward. If you need help with this, ask a friend (sometimes, you'll unintenionally try to look around whatever you use to guide the brush). This is where you want to pluck the "arch" of your eyebrow. It's not necessarily going to be super sharp or steep, but it'll give you a more feminine shape.

3. Pivot the brush again until it lines up with the outer corner of your eye. This is the END of your eyebrow. Anything beyond that can go.

4. Just used for the sake of symmetry and "even" brows. It's not necessary for the front and "tail" of your eyebrow to line up (though if they don't line up, you can end up looking vaguely angry or concerned, if the difference between them is too extreme).

I want to crossplay as a guy, but I'm currently a bit overweight and curvy. Other than dieting which I've started, what exercises can I do to get my body more lean other than binders?
I'm currently 35-29-38 which is looking to be pretty hard to get into a slim man shape. The con isn't till next summer/fall, so I've got quite a while.

Try to do something about your eyebrows.. make them a bit thinner/give them some shape. Maybe even dye them a bit brighter.

Try some thicker stockings. The thin ones won't flatter your legs. If they're more thick, they appear more dark and make your legs slimmer. Your socks are too tight over your thighs though, so you end up looking very large between the socks and the skirt/dress.

Try to find some larger socks and maybe use them with garterbelts if they're too lose.

Update. I got some new glasses that are somewhat of a thicker frame and rounder on the edges that are allegedly "feminine design with masculine features" aka an odd way of saying "unisex," in my opinion. I am in the process of getting colored contacts and will look into buying false eyelashes tomorrow. I know next to nothing about these, is there anything I should keep in mind? Like what kind of adhesive to use, how to remove them easily, what kind to wear, etc?
