Thanks for the insight. Well my friend didn't purchase a cosplay with any shiny looking fabric so it didn't turn out too bad. I would never purchase a cosplay without seeing pictures of the product beforehand either way.

Cosplayfu's prices aren't that bad though. After factoring in taobao SS fees and shipping I think it comes out to be roughly the same price since CF offers free shipping.

It depends. Let's say you are buying a 298 CNY cosplay, which is around $48 or so. If you do a forwarding service like Yoybuy or a cheap SS you might end up paying $60-70 for the cosplay at the least depending. Compare that to the Kaneki cosplay I posted at $117 without shipping.

So it really depends on what you are going to buy.

I've worn Shinji's interface headset and Junko's monokuma hair clips before.

As for the topic at hand, most male anime clothes tend to be either too standard issue to really be interesting inspirations, or alternatively are way too ostentatious for me to ever try and pull off without looking like a huge weeb doofus but I do sort of like the (goods rather than from the show itself) shirt on right.
