Right now I'm sharing the editable link so you guys can comment on it.

If I missed any substyles or people think I should remove some let me know and I'll fix it. Please don't try to add every substyle of gyaru ever, that was really annoying to go through in glitterpuff's guide.

The tables are for example images, please do post some in the thread I'll try to keep it around 3 best examples posted for each style replacing some if better ones are added.

Digging through my photos for outfits I'm actually proud of because I know lots of curvy girls were asking for advice on where to find clothes.
Like anons from last thread (I'm seifuku anon), I'm busty (95-78-89, plus 175 cm tall) so nearly all my clothes are from normalfag stores. Everything in this outfit came from Forever 21 and mall stores, except my handmade headband.

OP's FAQ, though lacking, makes a good point in identifying use of colour and themes and motifs.

In the case of that girl's picture, it's more that her outfit wouldn't seem unusual on a high street. Like she said, she gets most of her clothes from F21, etc. so the challenge is using Western styles but maybe JF-type colour co-ordinations. You can see examples of colour co-ordination in Lolita co-ord threads. Balancing the orange of her cardigan with orange accessories (such as mature-style bows) on her shoes could work, and maybe an orange handbag (maybe one of those owl ones).

The cat ears are an example of something more JFashion in that it's unusual (although yes, it is a trend but I wouldn't say it's mainstream) and it's kind of quirky and cute. Changing the hairstyle to be more quirky and cute like in the OP's image would emphasise that 'theme'.

To add to these anons about the tights thing, right now this coord is very bottom heavy. You have a huge light pastel section and suddenly black. Using lighter tights would actually draw less attention because right now the first thing I see is the giant black leg section. And you can keep the black shoes if you change the legwear. Maybe something like these to echo the purse? I also agree with other anons about the hair, you might want to consider a natural wig.

OP here, this will never get done if I'm writing the text all myself. Here's an example I did from my observations of Fairy Kei. It doesn't have to get into history or anything like that, since that doesn't actually help you identify or wear the fashion and if someone really gets into it they can google it themselves.
Here's the description prompts if anyone would help write one for some of the other styles and I'll edit it in. If there are any glaring inaccuracies in any description comment in thread or on the document.

If your going for nanchette seifuku adding a blazer or oversized cardigan would help pull things together. Making it look more like a fashion versus a regular uniform

As the guide is currently-- bout:
Main Style Points:
Hair and Makeup:
Use of Color:
Themes and Motifs:
--
It makes no sense to add in plus size. If anything, once style specific brands or shops are added to the document, those that also sell plus size clothes will be marked with an asterisk or something.

>> No.7925322

>>7925268
but it's already been established that there are some styles that don't suit plus size girls, I feel like that kind of thing should be mentioned

>> No.7925349

>>7925268
That brings up another point, a "Major Shops/Retailers" line should be added.

>> No.7925362

>>7925322
Since that sort of thing is subjective, and people will wear what they like best anyways it's not that necessary. If you care enough to warn/give tips, feel free to write a small list of which styles look best for plus size girls etc. and I'll add it to the bottom of the document.

Not her, but holy crap, what's your deal? You're like that person in a group project who wants everything their own way and won't let anyone else contribute because it's not how they want it.

>> No.7925401

>>7925385
Plus size jfashion is not a style, so it needs to be addressed differently. All they did was add a title and pictures of plus sized girls in random styles. Simple notes in existing styles like "plus size tips" or "good for plus size y/n" "plus size shops/brands," "Good example plus size coord photo" is fine. But someone else needs to supply the information if they want it included so desperately.
Tl;dr their contribution wasn't a contribution

Nobody gets the joke that the whole guide/board is a special snowflake. Anyone who's wearing jfashion and claims to be not a special snowflake at all/ever is in denial. the only real reason they gave was that they didn't like the idea because "anyone can wear j-fashion" and they just said that the other anon should just make their own doc about it, which completely shut down the idea of a group project and discussion. i think the general consensus is that it wouldnt hurt to have some additional information here and there in the doc relating to plus size shoes and clothes and I really don't see what the big deal is.

>>7925720
> no one dropped any links, or helpful information.
because the idea is brand new and people are still trying to hash out ideas. also, OP restricted access to the doc and no one can see it. the pictures were just some random examples of plus size J-fashion, im sure they were just trying to brainstorm and see how things might look

>> No.7925810

shut down what group project? The project was just a visual guide to all jfashion styles to link in OPs as a way to educate the newfags on the basics. That way you get less "what style is this?" "Someone tell me what makes this outfit jfashion i could buy it all at the mall." "Is it just because a japanese girl is wearing it?" About: Often confused with its cousin Pastel Goth, creepy cute is a style that involves a general set of themes and colors. It often takes the form of girly streetstyle or aomoji kei but also occurs in other substyles, like nanchatte seifuku.
Main Style Points: Pastels with black, dyed hair or colored wigs, heavy accessorizing, a general girly theme.
Hair and Makeup: Hair is in pastel or bright colors. Makeup is generally typical girly makeup, usually with false lashes.
Use of Color: Pastels and black are typical, but bright colors a la Listen Flavor are sometimes used.
Themes and Motifs: Bats, eyeballs, bows, spiders, crosses, garters, horns,
bats, Listen Flavor and Kokokim items

I just got this dress from ebay recently and was planning on wearing it with a simple black cardigan, black mock thigh highs, and some basic black ballet flats with bows on them.

The flats are the only shoes i have atm that will match it, but I've been planning on getting those T.U.K. cat mary janes that I think might be cute with it, as well as a matching kitty shoulder bag I have coming in the mail.

Sorry if this gets asked a lot and I missed the answer, but...

Does anyone have any J-fash tips/recommendations for someone with a pronounced bust? ((35-23-32, to be exact))

It seems like it looks best on people with fairly uniform proportions pretty much across all styles, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I don't know about the tall part, but skirts will easily fit over and hide big hips!

I think mori girl esp. would but good for bottom heavy girls, and you can layer long skirts so height isn't a problem! But really anon, go for the style you like, and find ways to make it work for you!

Some people wear sports bras/binders to reduce their bust line. What style were you interested in though, j-fashion is a broad term.

Don/t wear a sports bra or bind. I wish people would stop giving this advice. It will make your boobs look sad and loaf-y. Invest in a nice unpadded bra (panache is my personal favorite brand for this). It will give you a really nice shape without adding to your measurements.

TALL MORI'S ARE SO CUTE! But for more specific advice you may wish to scroll through the tall jfashion thread here:

There should be some inspo and some actual advice, but I haven't looked through it yet myself!

But yes, mori style has fewer strict rules about where things should fall and more forgiving hem lengths. Tall girls look mega cute in mori styles, but you may also have fun with otome!

jfashion, like any fashion looks fantastic on slim people! That being said, as long as you pay attention to the cut of the clothing you pick and the general style it will look nice. Big chest or otherwise. ofc you may not be able to pull off the slouchy pull over sweater look as easily unless you bind, and you'll have to avoid garments constructed specifically for people with small chests- but you have to do that in western fashion as well.

For the record, suspender skirts/shorts look really cute on girls with a defined chest (as long as you don't buy a size to small! then it looks porny), and a lot of gal-eque styles look really cute on a variety of body types!

>also otome, but I'm biased because I think otome looks cute on everyone

Things along the line of:

Are my personal favourites, pretty much anything with the shorts+tights aesthetic regardless of the base style.

I'm also really into styles that make use of Lolita elements in a more casual way, be it skirts, accessories... anything really.

Annnnnd simple cute dresses like

Are great too.

Not really brushed up on all of my terminology, so I only really know precise terms for the bigger J-Fashions, if there's a precise term for anything I've mentioned I'd love to learn more!

binding can make your chest look loafy depending on how much you're binding down, but if you have a properly fitting sports bra you shouldn't have boob loaf. Some styles of sports bra lend themselves moreso to boob loaf than others, but again, if you're buying something that fits and you've tried on that shouldn't be the case.

I do agree though that unless you're crossplaying you shouldn't really bind. (I sorta sound like I'm recommending it in my comment below you though oops)

Ooh! Thank you, I do really like the suspender look. I'll take a bit more of a look into gal and otome.
