I live in Texas. I've been to a con where someone was arrested over an argument about a costume. It was some kind of 'cute' version of an SS Nazi uniform from something, I don't know. I'm not friends with people who would wear something like that, obviously, but my friend was sharing a room with her for whatever reason. The girl in the SS uniform got approached by con staff right away and asked to change, but argued and made a giant scene. At some point con staff decided to revoke her badge and hotel security escorted her to her room for her to collect her things and leave. So, I went to get my nails done yesterday and The View or whatever was on the TV so I was kind of forced to watch it. They had a segment about Halloween costume fails and along with a fat person costume was, you guessed it, hazmat and Ebola nurse costumes. They kept going on about how it was so offensive and racist because people were dying and even the guy doing my nails was like 'I don't agree with the Ebola costumes' in his broken English.
