This is such a long shot but I am having so much trouble remembering both the name and brand of an OP I love. I can't even find a damned picture of its.

I have the purple one and it's awesome, but mine came with a slight defect (weird small spot of red velvet/thread with a stray thread sewn at a random place on the print fabric) which I didn't expect for that mid-range price. It has lone micro glitters all over it, but very sparse so it's not tacky at all. The sleeve/overskirt fabric is very soft. The bow I got was a bit crooked but nothing unfixable.

Not sure if this is better for the help thread, but...How do you guys protect/care for your nice socks/tights (if you do)? I've definitely seen a few people say they try not to wear matching socks too often for fear of ruining them, and others who rarely wear tights for the same reason. The furthest I've gone is wearing socks under my tights so they don't get rubbed by my calluses, but that doesn't protect them from rubbing against shoes...however I'd feel weird with socks over tights as well, plus they'd be visible

I wear my brand socks pretty frequently, but I always wash them in a bag and air dry to preserve the elasticity. As for avoiding holes, I don't do anything special for socks, but for tights I wear those "no show" socks over them to protect the toes from rubbing.

I bought this on impulse the other day because I'm a sucker for border prints. Unfortunately, I don't know if there's actually anything I can do with it since it's kind of short and doesn't really fit the silhouette.

Would it be ita or tacky to try and pull of a look something more like Putumayo's stuff? I know their skirts and dresses always run kind of short but are often paired with lolita blouses and accessories.

It also really depends on how old you look as opposed to how old you are. Shelbycloud is in her late twenties or early thirties and she looks so much better in fluffy pastel AP dresses than any of the teenagers in my local comm. She looks to be in her early twenties at most whereas some of these actual teenagers look like they're in their mid thirties. I like layers with all substyles. As long as the cardi or bolero fits color wise and isn't too long it should look cute. Ruffles and lace are nice too but make sure it fits with the outfit. I like plainer cardis that I can pin accessories to so they look cute

I was going off of that very same picture for inspiration, I love it! It's one of my favorite ads ever- even if the original coord is a little flawed.

Switched out the RHS for generic strappy shoes, got a different blouse(still with princess sleeves) and a much less gaudy witch hat as well. I think the blouse in the ad is the Wizard Gauze blouse or something, but the fabric is a lot like the torn, gauzy bits on the side frill. It looked a little too costume-y. My relationship is eerily similar - I met my fiance while he was studying abroad. We spent nearly two years long distance, and now we've lived together a year in my country and will move to his once we're married.
What we did was splitting half-and-half for plane tickets - we saw each other every four times in the two years we spent apart. I don't know how far you two are, but he was halfway around the world, so basically all my money from my part-time job went to visiting him. I was ok with it, though, because before that I didn't even have a job, so I was used to having minimal spending money. But make sure you're practicing self-care, which may mean treating yourself sometimes and having to wait another month to see each other.
Also, care packages are fun, but letters are just as good and much cheaper to send. I think they tend to be more romantic too!
