I decided to get the wig precut w/bangs. There's some imperfections w/the bangs - slightly longer on one side w/some stray longer hairs. Otherwise it hits right where they should. It's not very thick but you can't see the wig cap/wefts so it's good enough. I was disappointed to see one end of a weft sticking straight out of the wig though but that's totally fixable/hidable. Anyways I'd recommend it. The wig is a nice blend of auburn & natural black that is pretty low on sheen. (Also it was windy & a bit overcast but still bright so sorry about the outdoor pics). I can do a review of some skirts from Daruma & Niffeilu if anyone wants but they're pretty normalfaggy.

Anyone have suggestions for any cute, decent-quality backpacks? Something I can use for my textbooks.

I'm trying to find a nice petticoat that fits a calf-length skirt of mine. It's about 70cm, give or take. I tried searching classical puppets (where I have my normal length petticoats) and I might be blind, but I can't find a longer one. I tried some of the other lolita taobao staples, but I can only find floor-length petticoats, knee lengths, and the cage-things (hoop skirt? I can't remember). So I bought one from a bridal shop (for waaaaaay too much) and it's shit. Terrible shape.

Yeah. Just due to the differences of Asian fashion vs American you can find a lot more cute and taobao like things in stores here.
But it's like the US, where sometimes it's just easier and still cheaper to get it online.
For example, I Picked up some fake thigh highs for a little over a dollar a pair, but had to haggle for them in a crazy market, which is annoying to do.Just need to decide what's more important to you, yknow? It's pretty easy. Once in a while you come across a problem like the seller not shipping. You remind them to ship anad they still don't. I finally messaged them (using Google Translate) and turns out they sold out.
Sometimes they tell you if they've sold out.
Most cases, when they're all sold out, you can't buy it off the website. In those above cases, the seller leaves the items up even if they've been sold out.
4PX was very helpful to me. They sent me a screenshot of all the items weight (because I was up to a process of paying for the shiping for the consolidated goods and they no longer showed the weight of each individual item on the website. I messaged them and they sent it to me.
Lequgo was a pain to deal with. I paid for 1.88kg of shipping. The package came and it was marked 1.5kg. Turns out that one of dresses were missing. I contacted them straight away but they kept telling me that the after-sales people will contact me. (They never did and I had to seek them out several times.) They eventually found the dress and shipped it to me free of cost (since I had technically already paid for it.) This took a few weeks.
I'll never again order using an SS.

I got those Baby knock-offs that people were asking for reviews for. Here's one on my foot.

The shoe is mostly fine, it's not perfect but I think it's pretty decent construction? You can see it's a bit wrinkly though. I don't really care, the price is cheap compared to brand and I'm used to cheap ass china shoes. The sizing is alright but it probably wouldn't hurt to go up a size, my big toe pushes a bit when I walk but my feet aren't squished or anything. They are narrow so definitely go up a size if you have particularly wide feet. I find the buckles really weird. I didn't bother doing them up but I would have preferred they just be attached. Also you can see some glue where the long part of the ribbon is attached to the shoe, but the bows seems fixed quite securely. Overall they're good, I'm excited to wear them with a fancy co-ord.

The sailboat dress is near flawless. It's really nice cotton and well-made. The only thing is that Miss Point dresses generally seem to be made for really short people with short torsos. Yeah, I'm going back to taobaonow. The system feels like it's still in a beta state, things load slowly, it's buggy because it takes a while for it to realize you've checked messages, no notifications via email for payment, etc.

Basically it's a good idea but the actual UI execution is convoluted especially when it comes to topping up the account. That and I ended up thinking that they were taking forever on a shipment - the progress bar had been moved incorrectly because the item was still on its way from shop.

Taobaonow is way simpler and straightforward to use.

I asked Faya from Transbao what happened to my items from long ago. Of course she apologizes, says that Transbao is now closed, and she likely cannot get my items to me. However, I brought up a skirt that I had a seller remake due to incorrect sizing and she stated that she actually took that item home with her.

She provided me with pictures as proof that it is in her possession and she's willing to send it to me.

Is it worth the risk to get this skirt in my hands? I could likely make it myself, but that would mean having to remake the entire cosplay I purchased since the skirt needs to match the top.

Don't send more emails asking if they got your first, if you can avoid it. Wait to ask more questions until they email you back. That experience with clobba wasn't perfect. For example, they mixed up my order and it was very lucky I emailed them at just the right time to get it fixed before it was sent. Dress is basically what it is in the images, the grey looks slightly cooler in person but not that off at all.
Construction is decent, fully lined with cotton lining that's slightly heavier than the gingham cotton, has two pockets that feel a little flimsy but serviceable.
Couple of loose threads here and there but nothing worse than I've seen on brand pieces.
Waist ties are attached with buttons, removable. No other elements are removable.
Haven't tried it with a petti under but it looks like there's enough material to accommodate a decent sized petti.

Comes with two extra buttons, one of the strap type and one of the waist tie type.

I'm 160cm, I can't wear the back crossed with the buttons sewn in as they are now (they're about 4cm up from bottom of strap) or else the bust looks hilariously bizarre on me.
It's definitely more flattering at the actual waist. Straps are adjustable if you resew the buttons so I may try that out one day when I'm less lazy.
Hem is above my knees.

Primary complaint would be the fact that none of the seams line up and it wrinkles very easily.
It's definitely not brand, but it's certainly as solid as the pumpkincat dress I had if not more so.
Other than that it's a steal at basically $65 for a dress you can abuse - I really wish I got the coffee and milk tea colorways now.
