I recently realize I have a lot of dresses with fruits in the patterns. It wasn't intentional, but I guess I do think that fruits are pretty cute in general.

I'm trying to break into classic lolita, but I always end up falling for all-black dresses and outfits. I also have a number of red jsks. I'm trying to hunt for navy and brown pieces, but red usually catches my eyes first.

i tend to cosplay from the same series over and over. like, i enjoy lots of anime and comics and whatnot, but there are only a handful that i love enough to cosplay from, and i love them so much that i want to cosplay almost every character in the show, or every outfit my favorite characters wear. obsessive may not be too far off.

It's absolutely not unusual for me to have done 4+ costumes from a series.

I have no idea when it started, but I always end cosplaying the cutest character (imo) from a series. They might not even be my favorite characters, but I just gravitate to their designs. Then again, my face is definitely not suited for manly or cool characters, haha.

I usually end up liking the character that dies first. Happens in most anime, movies, books... it's really annoying.

It's really weird because it's not my favorite color either, but I guess I just find the color aesthetically pleasing or something???

It happens to overflow into my lolita wardrobe too coincidentally....I have all these nice ivories and browns and stuff and suddenly BAM spots of pastel pink. Thankfully my obsession with ivory/brown overrides my tendency toward pink but damn how do I stay away

Looking back, my cosplays so far has been characters that wear dresses. I don't really wear then irl so maybe it's my subconscious telling me I need to start wearing them more.

All of my cosplays are young moe girls who are doll-like but people always say my cosplays are amazing even though they aren't so I think they suit me. I wish I could do other types but they just wouldn't really fit me. The furthest I've gone from the type is Toshino Kyouko but she's still pretty cute looking.

This, I always do moe/cute/dolly characters because I know they suit my face. That way I can just do my makeup the same every time, and people will always compliment me on how much my makeup/I suit(s) the character.

Pleated skirts, for some reason. I haven't done -that- many cosplays, but they all have pleated skirts.

Nautical everything. Probably around 70-75% of my wardrobe both in and out of lolita has a nautical motif/styling of some sort.

I've noticed I constantly keep cosplaying either shota looking guys, traps, or crossdressing males; i.e the perfect yaoi victims.

She could have the most bland characteristics but if she's known for sex appeal or fan service I will cosplay her so I feel better about myself. I'm no better than Jnig.

I tend to cosplay a lot of younger female characters with twin tails. I honestly don't know why it happens either. They just end up being characters I can decently portray.

Always student council presidents. I'm not even a naturally good leader either..

Characters who wear knee of thigh-high socks. They're part of my wardrobe, so I guess it makes sense!

I typically cosplay serious characters that don't smile a lot.

I usually do the morally ambiguous stoic girl. I'm a huge sucker for that archetype.

Tomboy types for me. I guess I just relate to them the most. And I guess in my group, I'm the one who ends up working with spandex/stretch materials fairly frequently.

I tend towards the moe shorties since I'm a shorty myself. I'd feel awkward trying to do anyone tall and/or voluptuous or sensual in any way.

My stupid ass always cosplays the Psycho in White. Always. I hardly ever cosplay, but I had to give myself a slap in the face and say "no" this year.

I very commonly cosplay male, overconfident characters, good or evil. It's an archetype I've always liked, despite being a somewhat mousy and small girl that is hyperfeminine in natural appearance.

This is me as well. My cosplay list is long, but when I really think about the ones I care the most about actually finishing, there are around 25 major ones and they all come from the same three or four series.

It took my a while to notice but my wardrobe is pretty much all browns, creams and ivory. But I really like chocolate/sweets prints so that may be why.

Gingers and redheads. I only noticed the pattern recently, but it's getting a little out of control.

Amy Pond, Severa, Envy Adams, Gou Matsuoka, Sansa Stark, Petra Ral, Ellie, Gnar, and then I was toying with the idea of cosplaying Jinx when I lost enough weight, but everyone keeps insisting I should do mafia Jinx, who is ginger.

Literally every single character I cosplay has glasses. I have an entire shelf of fake glasses in different styles just for them.
I so want to cosplay pic related but no one I know even heard about the anime.

Tsunderes and/or the arrogant ojou-sama types.

I am getting older and I know I should be giving up on sweet and wearing more "mature" styles but my wardrobe of sweet pastel prints is growing. Most of my dresses are pink and lavender and the prints are ponies, toys or cute animals.

I tend to cosplay good-hearted protagonists and blondes, or both. I don't think I've ever cosplayed as a jerk or a villain.

I really like cosplaying as murderous, badass women who can kick your ass. Part of it is that I can't really pass for young characters (I'm 25 and have a mature face) but I also am just naturally drawn to those characters.

When I crossplay, I like dressing as arrogant dudes with swagger.

I almost always cosplay reserved or mature girls, which is weird because I'm a very outgoing person. It's kind of a problem when it comes to posing, because unless the character has a signature pose or a prop, all of my photos end up looking the same. I'm trying to branch out this year with more fun characters.

I'm obsessed with dresses+skirts+anything I can wear that has strawberries on it. Pink strawberries, red strawberries, strawberries and polkadots, strawberries and stripes, I love it all.

I tend to go for bouncy/cute characters with side fringe.

Crossplays are the exception. I only have one crossplay and I just really really like that character.

Mature "ara ara~" vixen cougar types mostly. Also, sadistic as fuck girls.

I always seem to cosplay blonde teen boys... But I'm in my early 20s and female. Bonus points if the character is short, like me.

I always cosplay purple hair characters since my hair is really purple. I think wigs look funny on me. There's not that much awesome purple haired characters though.

Haha I guess you can analyse a lot of people with their choices of cosplay. You see with a lot of them that it's from a desire that can't be fulfilled in their normal lives.

I noticed I recently have gotten a thing for characters with braided hair. My two latest had braids, and I have two braided characters I've bought materials for and at least one more in my want to coslplay list

I can't think of anything... mostly protagonists or marking characters, I guess.

Two years ago I cosplayed as Mami from Madoka Magica.
Last year I was Mayuri from Steins;Gate.
This year I'm going to be Misha from Katawa Shoujo, though I was also considering Mako from Kill la Kill.

Almost all of my wardrobe, both lolita and regular, is black. It's not intentional, in fact I didn't even notice until my friend's boyfriend pointed out how much black I wear. I gravitate towards non-print items in lolita, too. 99% of prints just don't appeal to me.

Not sure what I'd call this... a tendency towards royalty like prints..? these are the pieces that show a trend. the rest of my closet is all over the place
