There are plenty of women into cosplay because they like making cool stuff and expressing their love of the fandom. Sure, lots of the efamous cosplay people have nudes posted or do cam work. The overwhelming majority of people that are into cosplay don't do those things. There are hundreds of thousands of average run of the mill cosplayers that do it for fun and attention (not necessarily of the sexual variety).

There are plenty of regular folks out there that want to fap to their favorite characters but feel weird about toon or hentai. They fap to people in cosplay since its a human and they don't have to feel weird about it. I think that's a part of why "sexy" cosplay people get more well known than people that are more modest.
