Just thought I'd say for anyone who has trouble with scuff marks that I've had trouble with scuffs on my white shoes. I tried surgical alcohol, Son of a Gun, and magic erasers and none of them were effective. I bought some nail polish remover pads, though, and they really did the job.

Can someone familiar with IW explain what the difference between high waist and just waist is? I can't really tell from photos but is just waist supposed to be their version of low waist?

Jacquard neopaque is acrylic based and designed for fabric, shoes etc. Not all acrylic is shit for shoes...

Actually, applied right, acrylic paint should work just fine for small areas. The paint needs to be dry brushed on, in thin layers and only on the scuff, not the undamaged material. After enough layers to make the paint opaque, a clear sealant can be applied to the area, again just on the damaged area.

In a pinch I'll use fabric paint. Usually tulip soft brushable paint or jaquards textile paint. At least those you can blend for a color match. Angelus leather paint is my go too for painting shoes. It's blendable and can be applied with an airbrush or sponge brush. Also I found you can mix it with fabric paint like the jaquards or tulip soft.

I've been painting with acrylics for years, they are not water soluble once they're dry. If you let acrylics dry on a brush, it's fucked. You might be able to scrape it off of smooth surfaces, but no amount of soaking will ever remove it.

It dries into a layer of plastic. Once the initial water evaporates out of it, it's no longer soluble in water.

Another thing that you aren't considering is that the shoes don't have the same fibres as paper, so the acrylic won't stick on as well.

Acrylic craft paint is cheaper than nail polish, water resistant after drying, and comes in a million different colors. Unless the area is a square inch or bigger or in a high stress area acrylic should stick just fine. Wiping down the area gently with nail polish remover and dabbing a little paint at a time should leave a smooth coat.

Based on my own experience about 1 out of 4 packages sent by airmail takes super long time, doesn't update tracking etc. I just generally got the feeling Bodyline never sent my order or it was lost. I've been painting clothing with plain craft acrylics for my sister's sports team for some time, and they even hold up through the wash machine. Like other anon said, gouache is watercolor, which is very much soluble. Pls stop talking, you really don't know what you're talking about.

As far as the material of the shoes goes, that doesn't matter much, as acrylics can stick to damn near anything if treated right. A small scuff would be very easy to fix with decent acrylics, expecially if you treat the area with a little bit of acetone first.

The half bonnet types roll up. Then they're the right size to fit into the clear plastic boxes that my salad leaves come in. There's no fold line if you leave them rolled up for long, either, which is really nice.

Thought you may need to do something about the bow on the bonnet in your photo, if it's actually stuck to the bonnet. Maybe a bigger a box and not rolling it tightly.
