Because Bodyline was once notorious for constantly churning out replicas of pretty much anything brand. They've calmed down on the copying a little nowadays, but for a long time they were basically Baby's bratty little sister who would raid their closet and try on their clothes when nobody was home.
Iirc one of their old website designs was also a direct rip from another brand.

I'm very sure the logo is either a rip, or a ripoff. After all, Bodyline originated as a costume store that moved into copying lolita clothing because they found it profitable. For a very long time, about half their store were weeaboo ita clothes, another half were all copied from somewhere, with only a minority being good, original designs. That's why you'll sometimes come across lolitas who think Bodyline is cosplay lolita, because they seem to make cheap copies of actual lolita clothes.

I know they've been trying to downplay the "costume" part and step up their original designs lately, unfortunately the logo seems to have been one last thing copied out of bad habit just before they decided to do their own designs.

(Don't get me wrong, I like my Bodyline, they last long for the price I paid. But anyone buying into the Cinderella princess story has got to be either plain ignorant, or drinking Yandyman's Koolaid.)

I have it. The dress doesn't have a lot of shape and the waist tie it came with is way too thick to use as a belt. I ended up taking in the waist a lot to fit my waist. Also the floral fabric is just upholstery fabric and smells exactly like a sofa. It looks really nice after you can get it to fit though.

I've been in 1 order from them with a friend, and one order separately. With the friend we took the expensive shipping because she needed the items for a meet and it took 5 days (I think) to get to us, but I went to pick it up from her a day or two after it arrived. I actually just bought shoes last week and I can confirm that they are indeed cheaper now. Some of them are less than ¥1000 and some of them are more.

My maid costume574 arrived this morning. I paid for AIR shipping on the 17th but it shipped out the 20th which I think was a mistake on their part but bonus for me. I'm really glad I went with L even though the M was just slightly under my measurements. Fits perfectly and it's pretty good quality for 2400yen. The dress isn't lined but the apron has adjustable buttons which helps a lot. I might switch out the headband for another since it's pretty tight for me.

I have these, the main issue is the straps not staying up. After like 10 steps they fall down. I usually wrap them just around my ankles now.
I've heard of people putting velcro dots on the straps to keep them up, but idk how well it works.

My order came in the other day and I'm disappointed that the print quality on the restocked Antique Clock JSK is so bad. It's faded and blurry on the edges of the print. I have one in smaller size of the original batch that's too short but I'm thinking of turning that one in to a skirt now.

I bought the pink, green and grey in 2L because I'm tall and needed the 5 extra cm. The grey is beautiful, true black with a super sharp print. The others are less saturated and the brown looks dull.

Extreme plus size lolita's like this need to do a lot of work to make a coordinate look good, flattering and well fitting. I should know I used to be one but I am thankfully back into M's. However I suppose if you follow the basics and guidelines you could be passable.

By all means wear what you want, do not let anyone stop you but anyone who is in the 4L and up range would be extremely unhealthy and therefore would not have a natural lolita silhouette. Aka back rolls etc... This is excluding extremely busty girls who fit into an M but have to up a size because of boobs.
