There's a whole subreddit dedicated to it anon. There are players there that wake up at 2:30 in the morning and play for literally 5 hours straight just so they can get event cards first.

Yeah she has a weird expression on her face and what is happening with her eyebrows? Eli isn't a shy character so why would she draw them on like that? Her wig looks crappy too.

For the longest time I've always wanted to cosplay her, but as dumb as it sounds, I didn't think I'd do her justice.
I finally did work up the nerve to cosplay her though.. Not sure about the doing her justice thing though haha.

While WUG is a realistic approach to idol groups I didn't find the majority of the girl to be that memorable beyond I'm-not-cute-enough girl, Oishinyan! girl and troubled idol past girl. Say what you will about girls wtih candy-colored hair at least I can remember who is who. Also WUG had maybe 2-3 outfit sets worth noting but stuff like Love Live has a million cute things.

Love Live and Aikatsu are probably my favorite as far as costumes go. Pripara is kind of cute but so far has been very samey-samey.

I could never get into idolmaster though. and i fucking love idols.

I like idol anime because the whole idol scene in the first place is very manufactured and forced. So when you frame it with girls who are fake and 2D in the first place it's significantly less cringe-worthy and can enjoy it for what it is. I tried watching some AKB48 videos and I just can't...

I used to be a big Morning Musume fan when they were a thing (and shortly after when they weren't a thing). It really just depends on how you get into it. I was a huge weeb so some of the cuter older MM songs roped me in.

For the most part they seemed normal? Some of them had a bit of a forced character, some of them were just who they were. I feel like AKB just noticed some of those things that these Idol Animes make fun of now (for being ridiculous) but take it seriously? AKB has always been cringey to me.

I ended up starting small and just went with the school uniform. My guy friend (who was the only friend I knew willing/knew of LL) was my Rin/Maki. It was a fun experience though! We weren't sure if people would recognize us, but the handful that did were very excited and it was super cool.
We also thought about doing the Snow Halation outfits for maybe Katsu but nothing decided haha.

Oh no! I missed you in that outfit! My friend and I also cosplayed LL for the first time at Otakon.. We are kind of new to cosplaying in general too.

I think the biggest issue I had, was getting the right wig color.. Mine was kind of too dark for my taste, but her hair ranges from dark brown to a greenish-yellowish tint.

For Katsu, I think we roped in another friend! So we might have at least a full first year trio? I'm so excited haha. Baby steps.

Oh we made them! Regular pleated skirts. We ordered the fabric from sparklepipsi because she has the fabric pattern.
But you could also make the fabric pattern and print on fabric yourself? I'm not exactly sure how that works though.

I would do anything to have a group of girls to cosplay love live, sew together, go to meet ups, do cute shoots and outings.... Even learn all the dances! I've never had any close weeby girlfriends in my life...
There's already love live groups in my area, but I wish I was able to hand pick the girls based on attitude, looks, etc.

The only other option is the anime club girls, and most are huge weebs who don't wear wigs or makeup with cosplay, because "it's too expensive". It's weird you say that because the majority of Asian girls being posted and cosplaying these girls are mostly tan, they usually just cake on lighter foundation (which looks awful btw).

i visited the event where the picture of the group is taken, the costumes were really well made and the girls were a lot cuter than in the pictures. too bad i didn't have time to talk to them about the costumes but yeah, all in all it looked very nice
