Mostflogged's is better sewn and fitted, but Kitty-maru just looks better for the character (wig, makeup etc.) and the sewing isn't nearly bad enough to be distracting. Also she's got the mask, which Mostflogged doesn't. Blackbanshee isn't BAD but the colours are just off and the detail work looks awkward.

I have to agree that VA has the best constructed outfit, but I prefer ask-a-pyrope's wig, horn placement, and face for Redglare. Cifera's horns look like carrots though that's not a surprise. Her wig makes no sense, too. VA's horn placement looks droopy and her face just doesn't work well for pyropes imo.

You can't really get the wrong kind of foam, because all those yoga mats, and rubber flooring etc. are all the same stuff. What it comes down to is thickness. Yeah, that's zippyc. His close ups are leagues above his full bodies, at least where this cosplay is concerned. I still give him props for being more or less the first decent breakout Davesprite cosplayer though, especially since a lot of subsequent Davesprite cosplayers including dersedreamer referenced the tutorials he made. He's not great by comparison but he paved the way so to speak. Not sure if there are any other full body photos of him that are more flattering but at least his detail pictures look good.
