I'll start off with something - I was browsing ABC Lolita's blog and found a link to a Chinese newbie's guide to Lolita on Baidu: tieba dot baidu dot com slash bakan/view?kw=lolita&kid=45187

It has a list of Taobao shops, direct links to Japanese brand sites, stuff about materials and petticoats, lots and lots of tips for washing and getting rid of stains/dyes/marks, and tips about shopping online and buying second-hand.

My reading skills aren't all that great but I can translate parts of it if anyone is interested.

Or just pray for the return of our glorious CG-chan.

She's not actually bitchy, and what >>7744441 quotes may or may not be CG's opinion. She's just really bad at differentiating when she's translating something bitchy someone else said and her own opinion. Usually she posts a random block of catty text with an image, then when someone bitches at her she'll go "I just translated it, it's not my actual opinion". If you ask her directly about something, she comes across as fairly normal, she just likes to gossip (she doesn't like garlic, I told her I loved it. Same thread I suggested that she should try green texting or using quotes to differentiate when she was quoting and when she was giving her own opinion, haven't heard from her since then though).

Personally I think if she was moving around a lot then maybe she misses having girl friends, making a gossip thread on 4chan might have been the closest thing she has to girl talk.

There was a blog about a guy working in China, he got married to a local woman and posted the whole series of their wedding photos on his blog. It is cosplay. They didn't stop at Hanfu and western-style white wedding shots, as far as I remember, there were a whole bunch of other scenarios they dressed up for, like one series was Safari-themed and another one showed them as tourists on Hawaii.

tbh I had a lot of problems differentiating between her own opinions and what she copypasted. Everytime I thought she'd posted a bitchy comment, someone called her out on it before I did, and she responds with the "just translated it, not my opinion". Could just be my luck that I never saw her own up to an actual bitchy comment, or I give her too much leeway and assumed all her bitcy comments weren't her own, or you girls mixed up the ones she translated for her own opinions, or you lucked out and caught her actually being bitchy.

As for lolita specific stores I'm not very sure, but Taiwan is literally Japan's neighbour and you can easily find Japanese goods there. I haven't been there in a long time but I watch a lot of Taiwanese travel programs and their shopping places look like Taobao IRL, so have fun.
