I've a medical condition that requires I wear prescription sunglasses outdoors and in bright lights.

How do I make this work with lolita? Am I doomed to be awkward looking whenever I step outside?

Hell no! Sunglasses can be super cute! People are going to disagree because it's cgl and they always find a way to disagree but, imo, there are lots of options.
What lolita style do you usually wear? I've been eyeing these deco'd pairs that are all over normalfag fashion magazines:

Some other brand have them in pink, more of a cat-eye(?) style, and it'd look so adorable with classic/sweet lolita.
Also, vintage inspired outfits can benefit from the actual lolita frames - the heart shaped ones? They're feminine and can add color to an outfit.

I always thought these would be cute with lolita, they are Dolce and Gabbana brand and they come in a couple different colors. Could also buy cheap knockoffs or DIY them if you wanted.

Those are cute! Totally going to try and DIY that with my sunglasses.

I don't have eye problems but I like to wear sunglasses if I'm walking through sketchy areas alone. The panhandlers and stuff don't bug me as much when they can't see my eyes (plus I have a little more anonymity if rude fuckers start taking my picture).
