>huge amounts of ruffles
They look bad on most OTT Btssb dresses already, but when people wear these long ass underskirts under their dresses... Nothing against a nice small underskirt, but these OTT calves lenght underskirts look awful, especially becuase you can always tell the dress is shorter than the underskirts suggests. Even Ranny Rosie could not pull this off.

>hating on plain coord
Nothing against a simple, well done (!) coord. No need to throw in a million accessoires, OTT headpieces, bows or whatever everytime.

>wigs
Nothing against wigs in general, but I wish we would return to accepting natural hair more. I dislike how wigs are now almost mandatory. Also people who spend 2+ hours on make up and $500 on a coord but cannot be bothered to learn some nice simple hair styles? Lazy.

>newfags flooding the forum
Seriously, how hard can it be to type in "Lolita Fashion" into google or use the links already provided?? Nothing more annoying than these newbies asking "Where can i buy a petticoat?? Where can I get a dress with a 100+cm waist??? Is Clobba a legit shop lol xD" over and over and over again.

I hate how my friend refuses to do anything with her limp thin hair when she wears lolita. One time I helped her with an intricate hairstyle (that she picked out) for a photoshoot meetup and we're not even there yet and she undoes it because ~she didn't like it~. IW, JetJ, VM, Atelier Pierrot, Moitie, Meta, and Baby/AATP have all produced longer dresses. Unless you're like 6'10" or insist on wearing Angelic Pretty it's not difficult to find brand that is long enough *and* looks good on your height. AP is pretty much the only brand that hasn't produced dresses longer than 90cm or so (inb4 that fugly quinceanera dress thing with the removable ball gown skirt, I don't think anybody even bought that).

Bows with belts that don't match. ESPECIALLY when the belt is some awful shiny satin and the fabric of the bow's body is a nice normal textured cotton. Like, what purpose could that possibly serve besides you being horribly lazy and not wanting to make a proper goddamn belt for your goddamn bow? (This is almost exclusively a handmade/homemade lolita thing) Even worse is when they don't bother at all with a proper belt, they just tie a string around it to make a bow-ish shape and be done with it. Also, I'm so sick of almost every etsy "kawaii" lolita shop, they all sell the same stuff. Ugly decoden phone cases, ugly melty glittery resin necklaces, it's so boring and everyone does it.

Now, this is the first time I'm seeing this girl, and I don't mean to single out this anon specifically, but this is my pet peeve.
Unless a coord is extravagant, or yoonique, or just extremely creative, people are downers about it.
There's nothing wrong with just average coordinates. Most coordinates are average. The expectation now seems to be that even something simple and daily has to be super memorable and impressive.

>> No.7732332

> Boobloaf.
As a plus size lolita due to my bust (well not plus I'm a UK size 12 and I have rather large boobs) I'm like DD+ and when it comes to wearing lolita I have certain bra's to wear with it that help take away any boob loaf or I'll wear a cardigan to flatter my figure.
BUT I simply can not stand it when someone shoves on a dress without putting any effort into making it fit properly. They pull the shirring super tight, wear padded bra's or none at all and it looks like shit.

> Too much petticoat.
People always say "You can't have too much poof" urm no, shut up. Yes you can. I hate it when people have a beautiful coordinate with perfect poof then decide "not enough" and shove on 2 extra giant petticoats for good measure which make them look like an ageplayer or hover-loli

> Half arsed outfits.(not good casual, like literally half arsed)
You know those people who wear lolita in a casual style? No make up, no petticoat, maybe trainers or casual shoes, no effort, not even looking remotely slightly good looking? The kind of people who are 1 item away from looking ita as fuck? THEM! If you are going to wear such a fabulous fashion style WTF would you want to look shit in it? If you want to dress like your grandmother then be my guest. Just do not be shocked when no one wants to compliment your boring near ita outfit.

>Unresponsive sellers/potential buyers

EX I message someone about an item I want, but the price is just a bit more than I want to pay, so I ask for a small discount (think $5 on a $40 item). The message shows as read, the seller never responds. A simple no would've sufficed but instead this person is apparently so offended that I wanted that little discount that they can't even be fucked to respond.

OR, I put an item up for sale, someone comments asking if they can do a payment plan. I say ok, a few days go by, no word from the potential buyer. I ask them again if they're still interested, the message shows as read but they still don't respond. Again, another situation in which saying "no thank you I'm no longer interested" would've saved me some time, but this buyer is too chickenshit to do even that much.

> Plus size idiots who complain custom is too expensive.
Do not get me wrong I think as long as you put effort and time into a coordinate that works for your body you deserve the lolita title. However I hate plus size 18+ lolita's who Frankenstein 2 bodyline dresses together to make one hell of a mess. If your plus size PAY EXTRA to get a dress custom made to fucking fit you! If you wear a dress and you have more than 3 stomachs showing GTFO and try again. I hate when a plus size lolita says "OH I'd love to get a custom dress in my whale size but it cost 3 times as much so I'll just buy a dress that is too small and squeeze my body into it"
Boo fucking hoo, if you can't put down the fucking fork then pay extra for the fucking dress.

> Not wearing a blouse.
I do not care what excuse you have, if you are going to wear a JSK and call it lolita you better be wearing a god damn top with it. I don't care if its a blouse, t-shirt, cardigan, bolero or a poncho! WEAR A TOP WITH YOUR JSK.

Somewhat related, my biggest pet peeve is probably how extremely low quality most lolita-specific shoes are.

I agree actually, I was just pointing out that complaining about Mana platforms in gothic lolita like it's some new thing stupid girls do is pretty silly. Shit's been around from the start.

Like Peignors would look great if they were cut to match the length of the dress.

I think it's more a matter of personal taste. Plus peignoirs have been overused and used really badly so it probably left a bad taste in anon's mouth or something.

But the only flaws I really see are the busy tights and too-brown shoes.

I wonder what photoshop program she uses.

Plenty of people are Dutch, anon.

The capitalization would still be incorrect (unlike in German afaik) and the apostrophe is only appropriate when you're actually writing in Dutch so this information is pretty irrelevant to the anon whose pet peeve concerns English. I'm sure plenty of things that are wrong in English are correct in some other language but who gives a fuck? Still wrong in English.

good thing it's not May

My pet peeve is the fact that whenever someone posts a sub par coordinate on CoF and asks for concrit, few actually gives good constructive criticism and most seem to be talking out of their ass. Also, for some reason they always seem to latch onto color matching, as if getting all your colors to match will fix the coord. Uh, no, there's also the matter of style, themes, patterns, and fit that make some of those coords crap. How are people supposed to improve as lolitas if everyone is giving them crap advice or "teehee your coord is cute and unique!" Some of these girls handing out "advice" need to spend a few more years in lolita because they sound like idiots...

True, but you can't expect an ESL to always have perfect grammer, especially when they don't live in an English-speaking country. Learning to speak foreign languages well is not easy.

That said, I do agree that it's stupid when people have glaring mistakes in the header of their blog (or something similar) and refuse to change it.

>I message someone about an item I want, but the price is just a bit more than I want to pay, so I ask for a small discount (think $5 on a $40 item)

That's already super cheap. Just pay the 40 $ and stop be a Jew.
