Only for certain people. This particular person does get a decent number of views on his videos. His AX 2014 LoL video has 2.3 million views but it's more of an outlier (and probably more because of LoL than anything else) because all his other videos have nowhere near that view count in such a short amount of time. He does consistently get tens of thousands of views but it's up to the individual whether or not being seen by tens of thousands is worth it.

as you can see the top two videos which both have more than two million views are both league related (and one is a year old so its growth was not like the other one). All the other videos have much less view numbers.

It is absolutely shameful how many cosplay photographers (and I guess videographers now) want people to pay for their amateur, sub-par, utterly banal work.

His editing is average at best and honesty there are so many other people doing what he does.

When I used to do cosplay photography I would get ppl who asked for photos and I would inform them that I would try to get to them but cant make promises because I didnt want my hobby to turn into work. Of course not everyone in industry is going to watch every MLZ video. But considering your chances for exposure, what's $50? Hell, in the advertising world, we're lucky to get 10k relevant eyeballs on an internet ad or billboard, and we pay thousands for media production and placement just to take a shot at that chance.

Instead of lowering the quality of the costumes by filling the vids with those who have more money than sense, the guy should charge for a short video shoot. Watched a little bit past two minutes into it. I hate the glitchy back and forth editing you put in there. You need a stabilizer because some shots were pretty shaky. You are still basic panning, instead of the cliche slow-mo corner to corner, you are just mostly going from feet up. Around the 1:30 marker, the frame is tilted, unsure if that was intention but it looks bad IMO. The street link just walks away and it looks like he was leaving when you weren't finished with him and the weird panning of the floor. Should have edited it out. If you're charging a certain price and people ain't pushing, that means your work is utter shit. This is not including if you're in California, where you can't even charge because the good and the bad do it for free. People will pay if your work is desirable. Not because you fucking hold a camera.

I'm gonna have to agree here. Nothing looks clean. No real smooth transitions, ect. but a lot of that stuff come with time and general learning on is appealing and doesn't look like a adhd with a camera.

There is a lot you are going to need to work on both when shooting and when processing. Its going to be a long journey but keep at it
