black girls can definitely look gorgeous in lolita just like anyone else. But the same rule will always apply, wear something that compliments your skintone. And that goes with wigs too. Having really dark skin, and wearing a pastel wig doesn't work out very well.

Even then, it depends a lot on undertones of someone's skin too. Like...a really warm skin-tone with a really cool lavender wig is a horrible idea regardless of the lightness or darkness of the skin.

Yeah, I use tumblr and although I post my coords on a dressform, I rarely ever take a picture of myself. I don't want to be known as a "black lolita. " I just want to be a lolita. We already proved that dark skinned girls can look breathtaking in lolita or look like complete itas. I don't know, this thread makes me uncomfortable. Do these girls want to be singled out?

I love how everyone says black girls tend to have such nice skin, because our skin seriously gets just as bad as everyone else; we're just lucky enough that we don't get the obvious red spots too often. I will say that darker girls do, on average, seem to have gorgeous skin, though.

I go to school with a black chick that is pretty much what i figure is the ideal lolita personality. She has a gentle voice, wears cute clothes to school, is really intelligent and sweet, works in our library, and her laugh is adorable and kind of tinkles.
