you know, i don't mind people talking about "headcanon" cosplayers. as people have said it about me, i can tell you first hand it can be a nice compliment if you're especially proud of your outfit or like how you look in it.

but running a contest for people to be your headcanons is dumb, and entering is even dumber. if no one has called you headcanon, begging for it isn't going to change that since there's probably reasons for that. let's be honest, if you're ugly, you're not going to be anyone's headcanon. that sucks for the hypothetical ugly person, but oh well. that's how things work, sorry. and honestly i really doubt anyone actually cares all that much on one random tumblr user's opinion on who is their headcanon from the low-quality batch of people so desperate for attention they'd enter a contest to be one person's ""headcanon"". the amount of unwarrented self-importance that implies is astounding.

Hey, does anyone know a good way to paint shoes like Eridan's? I attempted it using acrylic paint, and masking tape to make straight edges, but it looks sloppy... Anyone have suggestions to help me out here?

Use DesignMaster floral spray paint. It works well and it usually sticks to most shoes.

I heard that Tumblr had planned the raid for about a month in advance. Their goal was basically to shut down all of 4Chan.Yes, all of it. Has anyone actually ever done the most sensible thing for freckles and used brush splatter (running your fingers over a brush to get a fine spray of paint dots), and if so are there pics? That might look not-awful, if someone insisted on having them. It's pretty simple too and most greyed-up cosplayers will already own some sort of brush.

Cosplay help isn't so much full covering start to finish tutorials (something akin to what yaexrae does) as much as general helpfulness and cosplay content. A good example is what Kisbe just posted about the wires in their jacket, it is nice to see both the technical and the thought process. Or just providing links like what they and Dei-sandvich did with the wings. That doesn't mean they can't be good cosplayers without it but I do think it should be requested of the god-tiers.

Another view on it is Fromgilbowithawesome, who does a lot of help but isn't on the same level as the higher tiers anyway.

When it comes to the very notion of HS BNFs that's not a discussion I'm here to take, I just analyze the names from the perimetres given or, when they're fuzzy, try and make sense of them and then analyze.

If you don't like it, make the kinds of posts you want to see and encourage the discussions you want to partake in. Sitting and complaining like an asshole will get you nowhere. I'd like to see you try and dredge up a steady supply of new, original, interesting content in a five year old dying fandom with only one more update to end all updates and a game in the works.
