Yeah, kinda easy mode since it's basic stuff, but I did style the wig and make the shades. They broke before the pic, which is why if you look closely, a corner is chipped.

Your Bigby is okay, but your cell shading is off. You just drew arbitrary lines all over your face instead of following where your natural wrinkles are. It also looks sort of off because your skin has the lines from the art, but your shirt and tie don't. Good otherwise though.

Well, as my first cosplay, I wasn't exactly sure how to approach that. I knew I needed my shirt to be line detailed, but didn't have time due to needing a new shirt. As for the tie, I don't see that being do-able on black. It's tough because you have to maintain the iconic look ( most of his definition lines are static through the game, outside of a few angles ). But finding a medium between too much and not enough with shading lines for that art style is tough.

Ive worn this cosplay to the last 2 dragon cons and its on its last leg. Trying to finish this years costume in time, and not be lazy and wait till the last second. Should be a lot easier, this was my first cosplay and the learning experience on how to make armor was good. Should be able to finish this years without wasting as much money as i did on this one just experimenting with construction techniques.

I wore this to PAX two years ago, and since I only have 2 costumes planned for PAX this year, I'm working on remaking some of the pieces and vamping this back up. It's the most comfortable cosplay I've worn, even with the wig, so I'm pretty pleased with it.

The boots are probably the least accurate part since they were the backups when I first made this (I didn't finish the other ones in time), but I actually ended up liking how the look and I'm debating if even need to remake them.

Or sometimes I'm just more worried about not making a face that shows how crooked my nose actually is. But your comment got me thinking and I looked through my photos for more expressive shots, and I realized a lot of those are some of my favorites for a different reason. I chose the other photos mainly because I like the pose and how it shows of my costume. But these feel more in-character or tell more of a story, and that's important to me as well.

Not who you're replying to but the only thing I see wrong with yours is the angle of the eyes, it's not as good as the 1st Spidey
The puffy pain't looks too shiny compared to the rest of the costume but that's just the way it catches the light.
It's clear that you're both using the same base suit. The only other difference I can see that would hint as to why you don't look as good is down to pose and lighting. Which is understandable considering it's not a proper photo.

TL:DR You look good, but could be better if you took better progress shots and your eyes were at more of an angle.

The weird eye is actually something im working on, i suspect it is actually something i did when I cut some eye holes, it might have moved the eye position very slighty;.
As for the way the puff paint shines, heres another pic, where you can see it better. I opted for the metallic black instead of matte for this effect. (and yes there are blotches and shitty looking lines, but those will all be corrected when I go over with red paint

Oh I never said it was my final costume ever, I definitely learned from making this suit as I obviously made tons of mistakes.
It made me grasp the whole "whats the worst that can happen!" thing, where I expected it to all go well.
It definitely went better than I thought it would.
But that out of the way, next time I make a suit I will be much more careful. I plan on doing the symbiote suit, which will be even harder and more precise (though I will this time order the print itself and not have it sown so I can work on a flat surface)

Sadly no though I wish they did. The chamber cant move cause my arm is in there. The claymores are set up for it but I couldn't get the motors setup in time for the event. The gun barrels on the cannon arm do move and make noise though.

Its about 8 ft though like a 1ft of that is all horns lol. It took 9 months and I am in the process of making a panel for a basic how-to of my method.

This was my first attempt at creating my own cosplay. I'm content with how it turned out over all, but I know there's some things that could use improvement. I plan on improving the paint job on the mallet and investing in better make up. Also, I need to redo the gloves and repaint the shoes since the paint is chipping. Any advice on how to properly repaint leather shoes?
(Overall I think if I hadn't left this for the week before Supercon I could have probably better invested time and money in this)

Also, your mask could use some work. You can buy some very nice eye masks for around $35, but if you want to go cheap, and use foam there are ways to make it look better.
First, make it a bit smaller, and use a rotary cutting wheel to smooth out some of those rough cut edges. heat the foam with a heat gun, and bend it into shape to conform to your face better. Do a few layers of Gesso, or even Modge Podge to seal your foam, and then paint it. After that, another layer or two of modge podge, or even just watered down elmers. This will seal your paint and give it a nice shine.
Don't tie it around your head with string. it pulls too tightly and often leaves odd marks. Use Spirit Gum or something similar.
That is essentially how I made my Robin mask in pic, and it has held up for almost a year now with multiple wears and is still in great shape.

I'm Midvalley the Hornfreak. Extremely simple cosplay, since I found out I was going 2 days before. Also play sax so it worked out nicely that group was doing Trigun. If given more time I would totally make the huge collar he has on his shirt, as it makes the costume be more than just "generic suave sax player". But still lots of fun, as I was just playing sax the whole day and started impromptu dance sessions.

Really? It's funny because I had these heels for yeeaarss before I repainted them for this. I figured they had the right shape for my costume, but I don't intend on trying to make more accurate ones because the heels help my legs look a little longer and slimmer. And thank you, I was really worried it would turn out lumpy and uneven, as it had several seams, it came out right on my first attempt. It felt pretty great.
