Will be there for photos. Just casual picnic cosplay.

I want to bring along a prop to get photos, but I've never been to a cosplay picnic before. If the prop is one that anime north would approve can I bring it to this park or will there be issues? It's a prop sword made of foam.

Shouldnt be a problem, just don't expect it to get much positive attention if you take it outside the park. If youre taking transit, maybe cover it in garbage bags or something simple like that.

Why call this a con when it is literally just a cosplay picnic? Not to mention that they dont like mass groups at that park since it isnt that big, and if a lot of people are taking photos there they will start saying you need a permit.

On the topic of GTA gatherings, anyone going to the Centre Island picnic next week?

I'm not sure if I should go now that my friends bailed last minute for Pride; is it worth going there alone? I don't mind going to smaller gatherings by myself since it's easier to talk to people and less clique-y but with 500+ people going, I'm not sure how to approach groups without looking like a loner.

Yeah. Unfortunately it's the same people that told me about it that aren't going anymore haha.
