Personally I like gijinkas due to the fact that they have freedom, yet stick close enough to what the character is supposed to be.
OCs on the other hand are harder to pinpoint because you won't be recognized unless the OC is well-known enough. As long as it makes the cosplayer though, that is what matters to me at least. A depressed cosplayer just sucks to see.

I agree but I do find for general cosplay even if I don't know the character but the cosplay looks really well done or creative I will ask for a picture and try to figure it out later or ask the cosplayer if they're not getting bum rushed by people and requests. Am I alone in that?

Shiny Ninetales is more silver than lavender but you might be able to get away with it.

I love a creative costume, even if it isn't from a series because you can usually tell how much work someone put into it. This is the crown so far.
2ds for scale, it's pretty massive, but also very light, but expectedly top-heavy. I am considering getting little teardrop shaped fishing weights and painting them to look like my jewelry and added on. Not sure whether the lead is safe near my face though even if painted. I will try to get tungsten steel ones since it's less toxic if I can.

The cape part on the back is mostly to incorporate the blue streak and the tail bit. It should sit flat and then the little piece with the tail will stick up a bit at the end.

I really like well done OC cosplay. If it's completely original I probably won't recognize it but costumes that look good stand out anyway.

some day I'd like to cosplay one of my OCs. Just some crazy weaboo aberration that I made when I was 13 but it has sentimental value to me lol.

I also really love well done gikinkas. bikini + pokemon ears irk me but I appreciate when people can do creative outfits.

And then in terms of games like mmorpgs where you create your own player character I think it's good to cosplay them if you don't have an NPC that you really like or is recognisable enough. if I were to ever cosplay from GW or GW2 I'd probably do that because there really aren't any NPCs I like enough to cosplay, especially not from the second game. But if you do an outfit/armor set that people know they'll still know that you're from the game.

I love cosplaying OCs even if it's just a design and doesn't have a backstory to it. Mostly I blame that TinierMe/DreamSelfy thing for creating a ton of OCs to cosplay. I've got one now I still haven't done but it's always a possibility.

May I request a kirby Gijinka please?

I don't mind OCs or gijinka at all. Simple/skimpy ones tend to be "meh", but I've seen some really cool designs for gijinkas, and I've met a couple people who have done some impress OC cosplays. I'd cosplay a gijinka if I ever found/made a design I loved enough.

I like gijinkas as long as they aren't basic, but I don't really like OCs unless you can tell what they are from.

I hate gijinkas that are so far from the source that I have to ask what it is. But I do really like simple gijinka designs.

Honestly, I really don't like the one in the OP, it's too damn busy for such a simple pokemon. I had to look at it more than once to guess Espeon.

Well, it's Mamoru who holds the sailor crystal of the planet Earth. Only females can be Senshi (cause Naoko says) so that's why there is no Sailor Earth. It's technically Mamoru but he can't be a Sailor Senshi. So that's why you can't have Naru or your OC be Sailor Earth, nobody else can have that sailor crystal

An OC is just dumb, I mean, you don't actually have to make something cannon, but a Gijinka I consider cosplay. I consider alot of them shit-tier cosplay, like pokemon with just ears and a tail is shit. Honestly there's nothing I hate more than any Pokemon (and Pony, actually) gijinkas that involve the ears and tail.
Isn't the point of a gijinka to be a human form? Human Eevee wouldn't have the fox ears and tail because humans don't have those. There's artistic liberty, and then there's just lazy and uncreative.

Thanks, and I'll try and see if there's another way to work it in. I'm not very punk though, so it might look a little strange haha.
