Bad idea. I don't know about other european countries, but where I live, you have to present the invoice to the customs office, and proof of payment, so either you have to fake these, or just pray it doesn't get caught. You can lose your stuff and even be charged if they get you.

Well, I've had brand for a while, and my wardrobe is mostly brand. But the price always prevented me from making it a regular purchase. However, the JSK I picked up was really cheap (55 USD before shipping), and now it just makes Bodyline seem like a really, really bad value. If I keep my eyes open (and lose the weight I want), I know I can fill my wardrobe with plenty of awesome and affordable brand pieces through the Japanese secondhand sites.

I can relate. Once I got my first brand dress, I was hooked, too. I still own several Bodyline pieces, but I hardly wear them at all except for in situations where my brand could get messed up (like concerts and studio art classes and so on). Their shoes are the only thing I wear on a consistent basis that's from Bodyline. So I just purchased my first brand dress. I gave up on lolita after I realized at the time I was very young and it wasn't financially easy to just drop a couple hundred on a dress on impulse. I tried to contact the main EMS transporter but they don't have it and I can't have any information. I looked up their (terrible) info pages and it's basically "If we do error you screwed, we don't care."
They say once it leaves Japan it isn't their responsibility anyway but I doubt it's legal (you can't make up rules about returns and exchanges).

KL re-released their Phantom of the Opera blouse but didn't make any in white. I've been searching for this blouse since I missed the rereservation, and their "generation" colour is too dark/saturated for everything in my wardrobe.

It's different and makes the dress kind of not look lolita imo, but it doesn't look bad by itself on the dress form in this picture. I think the pictures where the model is wearing it don't work. I own a couple of R-series items, and they are really hit or miss. The blouses generally are of decent quality (regarding fabric and construction). Except for the buttons, you eventually have to re-sew them. But considering you have the same problem with most japanese brands to some extent as well, so I don't think it's that much of an issue tbh..
Be careful with some other items though, I used to own a velveteen corset skirt and they used shittier quality plastic boning than Aatp or bodyline. I didn't lace it tightly, but the boning completely deformed and poked out of the top just after 1 time wearing it. The skirt couldn't be saved anymore, because the fabric already was damaged too much. The velveteen also felt kind of cheap compared to the impression it gives on the stock photos.
I've only heard positive rewies about the shoes, they seem to use real leather which makes them really sturdy.

You're supposed to be able to pull down the cowl neck to wear around your shoulders as sleeves apparently, which looks a lot more elegant. Too bad JetJ decided to not showcase this on the actual product page so customers could get a better idea of this.

There's an AP dress from 2012 I need in my life and I've seen it go up in colorways I don't really like, maybe four times since then, but I've never seen it for sale in the colorway I want. I'll try to help, but this is the most unusual story I've heard yet, normally my credit card is charged immediately as soon as I purchase something from AP. When they ship an item, I will get an email. When Tenso receives it, I will also get an email. So many things are out of order in your instance that I can't imagine what went wrong.

I take it you've checked all of your mailboxes, including spam boxes, to see that you haven't missed an email somewhere?

Regardless, if you've tried logging into your AP online shop account and it says the item has shipped, and you've tried logging into your Tenso account and nothing has been received, send Tenso an email asking for help. Include your order email from Angelic Pretty. It's possible that the item went to a different address or something.

You could also try emailing Angelic Pretty and simply say you did not receive notification that your order has shipped out, and that Tenso has not received it. Ask if they have shipped it yet and whether there is a way to track where the parcel is if they have since Tenso has not received it.

Then see where things go from there.

So I was going through old wardrobe posts and noticed that go_slow_ly mentioned in 2011 that she works at Innocent World. I know that Rosaire also worked at Baby for a while, and I was wondering how they got these jobs. What exactly did/do they do, and how would one go about trying to do the same (other than learn Japanese)?

Anyone know where I can find some decent wrist cuffs that aren't going to run me $40?

Can't find anything that's not terrible or overpriced on etsy, and I can't find any burando that's got what I'm looking for. Any taobao suggestions? I need a specific color that I'm not finding.

On this same vein of question, have any of you ever settled for a dress that was in your desired color, but not your desired cut? An incredibly rare dress I've had my eye on for ages now has popped up on LM in my desired color, but not my cut. The cut I want is so pretty, so everyone who wants this dress wants that cut too. Basically demand for it is high and I don't stalk auctions enough to likely ever snipe one... I just can't decide. What would you guys do in this situation?

Yes. I got the skirt version of a dress I wanted, in my desired colorway, but kept looking for the JSK in the meantime. Both cuts grew on me so when I eventually found my desired version I just kept both.

Also are there any really good coords out there with Cadre du Chat? I've had it sitting in my closet for almost a year now and haven't gotten the chance to wear it because I can't think of a coord that isn't just black and white, since I'm not really good enough with coording to make anything fancier than that. I'm considering selling it to someone from the Facebook sales if I can't get any use out of it.
It's kind of an odd dress. Like is there anything really that great about it other than the novelty of having a dress with cats on it?

Not the other anon, but I also had something similar happen to me with DreamV. It was returned because my address that they had put on the package was wrong (no idea how since it was the same one I had used for years, but whatever). Maybe Meta made an error somehow or there's a small detail wrong with how you entered your address? Might want to double check it just in case.

I'm finally going to a meetup of a comm that I joined online locally, and well.. they're pretty damn ita. Do I show up in one of my well planned outfits and be labeled a brandwhore, or try to tone it down with a decent bodyline outfit?

Don't try to tone it down. Be polite and courteous to everyone, and dress as well as you can. Try to lead by example. Don't wear Bodyline out of fear of being labeled as an elitist if you wear brand, but also try not to act like an elitist to fuel their stereotyping. Be nice to everyone, even the most badly dressed, and you should have a good time regardless.

My comm is about 90% itas (and we even have a few ones who are somewhat infamous on here), so I know the feeling.
