Not her, but did anyone get pictures of Hime from Yozakura Quartet? It looked pretty good.

I had a pretty nice time, talked to and said hi to a bunch of people who I've seen before at cons, including one girl who I've been talking to for a while online and I got to see her in person on Friday which was really nice. Bought some art, went to the Sheraton for panels and gaming, got some photos taken... overall a very nice con, and actually my second time going. Definitely gonna check it out again next year.

Sorry to be asking about photos again but did anyone also catch me as Nonon? I was with an Inumuta. (Found this one on Rancid Yogurt Art and Accessories' Facebook album.)

The giant hat I wore for Nonon killed me on saturday; I ended up with a bump on my head and a huge headache. Dealers room was disappointing and I barely bought anything. But all in all, it was worth it. I got to meet up with friends I only really see at cons and so many people complimented me on my work- though I don't think I'm worthy of that praise.

The Carlingview hotel is great and only about a 10 minute walk from the convention. Free continental breakfast and a swimming pool/hot tub.

Went as Yui Funami and found pretty much the only other YuruYuri cosplayer there who went as Akari.

Also enjoyed starting a mini rave with the group I was with by blasting anisongs from a speaker in front of the congress centre entrance.

Finding good pictures of yourself in the AN group just feels SO good.

Ah, shame I missed you at that photoshoot then. I certainly got some pics of that Unit 02 though (best two included in the link below). That area sucks for photos though, hope yours turned out good. Indeed, too bad you didn't get that uniform on time. All those Reis and Shinjis needed more Asukas for balance. Some kind of Eva photoshoot at some point in the future might be interesting. I wasn't as stunning of a Gendo as the other two there though. Thanks for posting that ridiculous Shinji drawing, not sure if I needed to see that... but I think I could draw an even slutier version, haha. Our Kyoubro took me on a wild ride and we got separated from Manmi, Guyaka and Bromura.

I got it autographed on Saturday. Only 3 people recognized me and one of them was when I was lining up. Others were like "hey! nice crossplaying! Can I take a picture of you?" It's a food CHAIN, it's a big business and with the money they pull in over the AN weekend they could call someone in. Who can they call in? Well, someone from another branch of the chain. That's kind of the fun thing about franchises is that employees can move between branches easily.

You will notice this more with pizza pizzas since not as profitable as a franchise for companies to jump on owning tons of them.

As for sanitary, that is a choice you make eating there. You make it sound like having teenagers make your good as any better.

The crossing guys name is Robert something. I forgot his last name. I spoke with him at the con looking for some directions. I have seen him at CNAX and AN for many years. No AN does not pay for crossing guards. He is staff tho and was doing his job dispite some people comenting about 'don't you cross miss' while blowing the whistle. Given how hot the temps were this sat/sunday I was amazed not to see Robert like 10 shades darker. O_o; No I don't know the guy personally or at all other then seeing him from time to time at the cons. If someone knows him and could share a little about him it would help. Finally got a bunch of pics off my friend's phone. I learned that my friend takes horrible pictures and I need to think about posing more. How is a sentient sailor suit supposed to pose, anyways? The best pictures are one I got with a good Ryuuko where we actually look halfway posed and the one where I'm giving Elsa the ol' rib tickler. I had the "who are you?" problem the whole weekend since I was Phantom Pain Big Boss on Friday so most people don't associate that look with the character yet and then Senketsu on Saturday. Only the fellow Kill la Kill cosplayers seemed to know who I was and they got a good chuckle when I got pictures with them. One group seemed pretty excited to have a Senketsu in the picture.

So I've been scouring the hugbox and anywhere else I can find and have yet to find any pictures of me, which is surprising as a fair amount were taken. If anyone finds a crossplaying Kyouko with a "Homura did Nothing Wrong // Oriko was Right" sign, pass them on please!

Is anyone going to the KawaiiBass event downtown this weekend? I went to one a few months ago and it was pretty good, although could've used some more people. Hopefully after all the advertising at AN this one will be packed.

The Kuroko no Basuke shoot was a mess. It really turned me off cosplaying from it at this con again.
Sure the "organizer" was clear and had a good voice over everyone, but apparently they started 20 minutes early so people missed out on pictures and most if not all of the posing were just pairings. Not even themes or reenactments, just character X character; some involving characters with little to no interaction.

I know it's a sports anime, but hell the Haikyuu and Free fans are much more mature and I had better conversation with non-cosplayers about the series than the people at the shoot. Had no idea the fanbase was so shit here.

I expected it, but not to that degree. I cosplayed from the series earlier in the weekend as well and met some pretty cool fans/fellow cosplayers and maybe 2-3 "OMG YOU'RE THE UKE TO MY SHIP" fangirls, but it seems like the shoot just attracted only those kind of people. A lot of photogs and the "quieter" cosplayers just ended up leaving halfway through.

I was frantically searching for a shinobu figure anywhere but the only ones I found where the weird bake not-sure-if-knockoffs on the table with all the stuffed animals and the ones on the navito world table.
I bought a Hanekawa and almost a Karen from a table near The Begulling from two asian guys, one was short and stocky and the other was tall, thin and was really tanned and had long hair.
I've been searching EVERYWHERE for their shop name and searching the book and everything and I can't find it, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
