From prior thread, Friday's meetups are up in the air. Some say 10pm after the Sailor Moon panel just outside it, others say 12am/midnight at the InternationalPlaza (2tree) main tables area.

You need the following:
1) A wristband gotten from the shack/table at the bottom of those double-stairs near the main room.
2) To be early. Line usually starts about 3 hours early and starts getting LONG about 2 hours early, but, since it is wristbanded, you WILL get a seat as long as you're simply "on time". It just won't be a good seat. Don't be afraid of sitting on the floor near one of the big screens should that occur.

This is to view, by the by, to participate in the costume contest you're too late.

From Church... Get to a major subway or train area, you need to take a subway to Lawrence West Station. So I'll assume you go to union as a go-between since it's central and I don't know Toronto that well, if you can get to the subway station better, do so.

Masquerade was amazing this year, by the by. Almost half the entrants were Master division, and a lot of those, and the Novices, were all amazing. Well, almost. I did feel sorry for the one who jump-hugged someone on-stage and fell on their butt, their costume falling apart on impact. It was a good costume if you're reading this, that first bit of the act was great.

Unfortunately, with my carp camera, I couldn't take any shots on stage, so if anyone has good masq shots, please share. (And kudos for inventing the new concepts "Personality Window" and "Personality Porch", announcer.)

Speaking of good things, the Nominochi thing was much better this year, so much space and more tables it seemed. The whole Dealer and Artists area seemed bigger too.

Well just one window, it just showed the very beautiful personalities inside them. The kind of personalities you'd really like to get to know better, to really feel them. Soft, lovable personalities need to be shown to the world to admire, hence the windows to them.

Either way, have a Rikku that I think does pretty good justice to the character. Acted with similar personality too. Actual personality, not the above thing.

I ONLY talk to women in a fandom I know about. I NEVER go for nearly naked or women in groups if I can help it. Obviously sometimes I can't help it because you never fucking know for sure. When chatting, I start with what I like about the fandom/anime/cosplay, then ask what they find most interesting or whatever and STAY ON HER FUCKING INTERESTS. that's a big one. Don't stay on the same interest either, go from one thing and branch out, if they don't wanna chat you should tell, if you can't ask, ask what the group is doing later (assuming you are at a shoot or you find out she is with friends) if she says she isn't sure or is leaving with friends and doesn't incite you, you may know then if she doesn't want to talk more or have more to do with you.

Kancolle panel was pretty gud, props to the trio that ran it. You have inspired me to go through the bullshit of the lottery and play the game. Image is my future shipfu.

One thing it could have used is more visual aids. Pictures of the game screens, short video clips of things like battles or MADs, audio clips of the more popular ships' dialogue lines, maybe a couple of song samples.

Us in /a/toronto meet up pretty regularly and we are quite inclusive and always up for welcoming new people.
