Not the OP, but it is coming across as slightly eye-blinding on my screen. The mint bolero is just really, really loud, and her face looks very reddish brown somehow, like she's blushing mud, and I'd swear her tights are tinted lavender while the white lace on her bag is white.

It might just be computer screen settings, or she overshooped herself, or, just a combination of colours that don't fllatter her skintone. There's a reason yellow is not a common dress colour, not a lot of girls can carry the colour.

Also, I never take pictures of shitty ass coords, and half of these people that are 'just trying it on' have clearly made an effort to put a coord together. CYCW and a few other "older" girls aren't exactly exemplars, though. While I do think she needs to improve, idk if most of our comm could/should honestly judge the way she dresses given how poorly dressed they themselves are.
From my pov, the two "mothers" of our group have their shit together and look p fab in general, and they sort of exemplify very different approaches to lolita (i.e. brand vs handmade). However, most of our other members are not that well dressed (myself likely included, as my coords are rather boring).
On top of this, a lot of the younger girls act just as shittily as her albeit in different ways. The new girl from EL being a total ~alt-girl~ attention whore immediately spamming her youtube, one of the high schoolers an ugguu kawaii girl, and so on and so forth. At least I only have to read about Tuna's posts on d_l and not get notified about them on FB.
I was a pretty shitty ita mess when I first got into this fashion, but I like to think that I've improved. While I think Tuna chan's improvement was slow, I think many of her outfits are at least low-grade passable. At least she's not wearing shitty wigs or bursting out of her clothing anymore.

Sorry and sage for the rant. I just really wanted more from being in a lolita comm and hate how spread out in age, maturity level, and actual distance this state's comm is.

This is a much more flattering outfit on you. My advice as a fellow fat lolita is to stick to darker colours and not incorporate too many different colours/themes into one outfit! I stick to black or jewel colours mainly. Try and define your waist as much as possible, I sometimes use poofier petticoats to create the illusion of having a more defined waist shape. I also recommend wearing tights instead of socks! You don't have to follow my advice, of course you can wear whatever you feel like, but this is just some tips on how to look cute at a bigger size.

I had bulimia and then B.E.D when I was younger and know how shitty they can be but keep working at it because, I'm not trying to be all ~high and mighty~ about it but it is completely possible to change your life around.
