Random question. I'll be running a photoshoot, but I was wondering if anything else can be done other than just telling certain characters to group up or whatnot. Are there any sort of fun things that can be done for photos other than just grouping everyone? Would it be possible to treat it a little like a mini meet for the series? For telling characters to group up, PLEASE mix it up and not have variations of the main characters for the first 15 poses.
That's honestly what makes them boring to me. I went to the One Piece one a few years back as a character outside of the strawhats and didn't get called to do anything until the halfway point (back when shoots could be 2 hours long). It was all just solo shots, pairings and variations of the main group. By the time other characters went up, most of the crowd and fellow cosplayers were gone.

I haven't been to MTAC since it turned into a comiccon but FE is pretty strict imo. As far as I know, you can't get into the building without a ticket. They check multiple times at all the entrances.
Plus it's not that great for hanging around in cosplay even if you do manage to get in. Too many people for comfort/to casually walk around.

Hardly. Maybe it's just my timing, but the only cosplayers I've ever seen outside are Homestucks, obnoxious tumblr kids in closet cosplays that are too poor to go in, and people doing professional shoots. It's not comparable to AN, 95% of attendees will be inside.

Outside FE is not as good as outside AN. Mainly because it's toronto and cosplayers who aren't in the convention spread out over a wide area. The food court is across the street and underground. Photo places range from the skywalk, outside the south building, the lakeshore, near the brewery, the waterfall thing by the CN Tower, in and around the CN tower and this year there will probably be a lot of cosplayers going into the new aquarium. The north building usually has some nifty cars in front of it, like the batmobile, and so some people hang out there as well.

If you're not going with people you'll probably get bored.

Pic is from 2010, showing some of the crowding. It's gotten more popular since. Tails aren't a good choice for the dealer's room.

Really? I have very dark eyes and never had a problem. Circle lens are usually made for asians so they usually work on dark eyes.

Well you can tell when they are in the vials, if they have a lot of space between the dots you aren't going to get a strong colour. Anything that blends with your eye colour won't be as vibrant. The more solid the colour, the better it will show up.

Haven't been in awhile, but some of the stores have quite a bit of variety.

Security is... medium-tight? They'll stop you at the door if you don't show your card but people could slip past if there's a thick crowd. The only places you really need it are dealer's room, panels and raves.

If you want to be safe and only want pictures/videos then just hang out outside the con center and inside the doubletree minus the rooms where they check for badges. The lobby area and common area is fair game for all and you can get a sense of what's going on just by reading what panels and events are happening and gauging the atmosphere. Hey guys, Saw Runanon here. Made a small edit to my chainsaw.

I found an old .mp3 player in my room, and an old portable set of speakers in my closet, and mounted them inside the saws "splash guard". Then, I opened up my Cry of Fears audio folders, ripped out the original sound clips of the Saw Runner, and threw them onto the .mp3 player.

Pic related. Only thing I play to change is using black electrical tape instead of silver duct tape, if only to blend it in with the grip more. Might also take a sharpie to the pink control panel of the .mp3 so it doesn't look so "girly"

Can you sew? Your cheapest quick-fix would be to buy several meters of organza or tulle (organza holds volume longer, tulle is way cheaper and won't need to be hemmed), use a long running stitch to gather it, and quick-sew a few layers to the top of your existing petti until it's at the poof level you want.
