I'm looking for a cute backpack to go with my general jfash outfits (pastel goth, fairy kei etc), the only one I own is a massive black laptop one. Which ones do you like? What shops have nice ones? Thanks!

I love randoseru, but I'd feel like a loli wearing it. Am I thinking too hard and no one is actually going to understand and think I'm an ageplayer? I just love the crisp lines, the flap, and how structured it is. I actually think they look a lot more professional and mature than the backpacks available in the west. I'm sick of backpacks either looking like hiking backpacks or they're covered in dora the explorer.

I have that bag, and my friend noticed it had started to rip while I was at a convention (D*Con). I had it for under a year, iirc, but I had been using it quite a bit, and filling it with fairly heavy objects, so that may have contributed.

The bag is extremely roomy, so you'd think it'd be great for filling up, but apparently the straps just can't handle it. Aside from that, though, it really is great.

*disclaimer that I have the real one, not one from Taobao, so I don't know if the knockoffs have the same problem.

>>7537864
The original is from Lost Mannequin. Like I explained above, you don't want to load it up with heavy objects. You could probably get away with it for a few months, depending on how full you stuff it, but you risk ripping the straps.

I got a REALLY GOOD replica of this bag from Taobao and it's seriously great. I've had it for over a year and I've never had any issues with the straps ripping! The only issue I ever had is the little tassels at the end of the rope that helps close the bag ended up ripping off once (due to my own clumbsiness) and I've had two of the magnetic buttons come off, but that's it. It's one of the best bags I've ever owned, VERY roomy, convenient and comfortable as well as cute. I'm planning to buy another since mine has gotten a bit dirty due to me using my bike to get to work every day (and sometimes I forget it's on my back when I bike through wet roads so it splashes against the back). Granted, I don't have to carry my laptop, but I like to be able to use it during my breaks, as I work after classes 4 days out of the week and have very little free time when I finally get home.
I've gotta cram seagull time in there somehow.

My black jansport is okay and fits my ninja goth aesthetic pretty well, but it looks out of place on the rare occasions when it's warm and sunny enough out for me to wear my cuter, girlier clothing.
Whatever, though. A flimsy but cute backpack will probably work for me next year when I'll mostly be doing research and taking two courses.

I kept losing shit and thought I was going insane until I realized all of the inside pockets had holes that had formed from really poor stitching and very little stress. I had to sew everything back up on the inside and it's held up a lot better since then but the lining is beginning to fray apart at almost every seam it's attached to. I do use it a lot though and it was really cheap so I can't complain too much.
