From Limerick here but a little nervous travelling to Dublin by myself given all the murders and street violence recently (e.g. http://www.thejournal.ie/readme/unprovoked-violence-on-dublins-streets-shouldnt-be-accepted-as-normal-1418023-Apr2014/))

Anyone have any advice if its safe to make the trip or should I just stay at home? I'd be getting a hotel so would definitely be inside before it gets dark but I'm not sure if I'm still at risk during daylight or if its only certain areas or what.
