I'm thinking with this outfit it'd be nice to try to make the top half look like more like armor, esp. in the parts covering the tits. I don't think having awkwardly cut vinyl looks all that good in the cosplays I've seen. It'd take more effort in that you'd have to make a cast of your exact upper body to shape it right, but I think it'd look better and more 'armor-like' in the long run.

In the official reference images there's clearly a line that separates the chest armor from the undersuit and you can see it more easily in the back image (which I feel like most people ignore anyway). This leads me to think that the top half of the kamui is in three or so layers, the undersuit, the 'sailor collar' part that includes the bits covering the tits, and the 'wing' pieces.

Is this sound reasoning?

Finally got started on my Iori progress. Admittedly it's not much and those aren't the glasses I'll be using but it's coming along pretty well. Unfortunately my ass is way to big to pass for being a petit dude like him and I still have some semblance of a chest even with my binder on, but most of that'll be covered by the jacket so I'm not worried. I'm gonna be making the rig to vacuum form his mask tonight and I already have the mold for it made from model magic and a wig head. I should hopefully blast out a test run sometime tonight or tomorrow.

I'm using 2mm Transparent Orange Acrylic for his half face respirator that i'm heat molding over a clay form around a wig head.

Why not just do the first end credits outfit? Now that would be minimal, basically rip out one line of trim, make sure the whole necktie is red, get rid of the weird insert bit bodyline always has at the V part of the neckline, buy below knee socks, brown loafers, brown satchel, and ryuko wig. Totes agree on the posing. I think girls are too focused on looking edgy/hot that they forget what their character's really about. There was a good pose for Nonon posted earlier in this thread even though the cosplay itself wasn't accurate.

Any tips on making Bakuzan in parts that can be easily assembled and disassembled? I'm not very experienced with props and I have to make it so it can fit in a suitcase because I would like to take Satsuki to MCM Expo in May.

Quick question: I'm debating doing Nui down the road, and I see most people using a Golden Blonde for the wig. Tones like that clash with my skin and make me look horrible and flushed. Would it be frowned upon if I used an Ash Blonde (pic related) instead?

I feel like your wig definitely needs some cleaning up, or get a new one altogether. Also as far as photo composition, having the white circle in the background isn't the best choice if you're in mostly white. It kind of blends in with the cosplay itself. Otherwise, I'd say this looks pretty nice. Good job!
