I'm not into DMMD or anything, but I really hate Aoba's boots. I can't stand seeing them when people wear em for cosplay.

In the artist's AU, Aoba and Mink got married so their kids (the allmates are all the various cast's teenagers) got Aoba's last name.

So, Usagimodoki/Kaninchen is Noiz's, Beni is Koujaku's, etc etc.

I think it depends a lot on your skintone, but his hair has a pinkish-red tint to it but a lot of people go for bordering on white blonde which looks kinda bad imo.

Hmm well, my skin is a bit tanner, so lighter blondes don't look good on me.

I posted this in the Progress thread mostly to show off the wig, but then in the last thread I noticed someone wanted to know about the Cosroom Aoba jacket.

this is what I got with it. It's good material except it has too many buttons and it's a bit dark...but none of it is shiny and it hits me at the right length.

I bought it on their Aliexpress page when they had a sale; I can post more pics if anyone wants it since that shot isn't the best.

Oh, also, the brain patch on the side is in comic sans. I recommend, if you get the Cosroom jacket, get a patch too to go over it.

I have 0% of the actual costume made but here's what I've got for Beni so far. Might look for smaller glasses and more semicircular ones if I can find them, but I wanted something that suggested the shape of his eyes.

Why not do dark eye makeup then? Since Beni is supposed to be akin to Koujaku, those glasses might look super out of place. What route are you going to take with the actual costume though?

As for the costume, I'm making a men's yukata from the red fabric in pic related and the obi in the cream/tan, plus I plan on appliquéing the white oval shapes on his wings onto the sleeves and across the back. I have the geta he wears and will wear dark tan tabi socks similar to the color of his feet (and lighter tan pants/undershirt though those probably won't show too much). Of course I'm making his necklace, and am considering making a white neck corset thing akin to Koujaku's to account for the white on Beni's neck/the bottom of his face. Sorry that was kind of wordy, haha.

Not all over the face, I mean more along the lines of what Koujaku cosplayers do. Sorry, I'm not sure I'm explaining it right and I don't think my crappy example helps.. It just might be that those glasses would look super off kilter with a yukata...

But who knows. Go with what you're doing and if you feel you need to, you can always alter it as you feel. Just my two [unsolicited] cents.

I recently was that a camp AU tumblr was starting as well based on the Allmates, so that will probably crop up as well.

What surprised me more than anything else was that Cheeroba thing that took off. Been seeing more cosplays of that than actual canon shit.
