At least she's fit. That's better than a majority of Ryukos. I have yet to see a transformed Senketsu that I actually like though. Usually the proportions are off, the materials are bad, or for some fucking reason his eye is on the wrong side.

I always prefer if the little 'tooth' pieces on the nipples and hipbones have some volume and curve to them instead of flat pieces of whatever.
I'd like to see a Senketsu thats more armor-like than 'chestpiece glued to pvc fetish top' or however people are making it now.

Try a DivaCup (or other menstrual cup), they last longer than tampons. You'll want to start using it before the con, so that you get used to it, because it can be kind of weird, but you can wear it for up to 12 hours, and if you put it in right it won't leak at all. That actually looks very nice. It's hard to judge the fit from the side like that, but it looks pretty decent from this angle. You might want to taper the sleeves a little more, since they get a bit baggy around your forearms. Also, iron those seams!

Right now it's totally nothing, I've pretty much deconstructed it. I was working with a foam core at the top, but ended up scratching that, now I have two pigtails. I still have the drill parts (wire and tape with wig fibers glued over) and I'm hoping to incorporate them into the pigtails if it's at all possible. Maybe something like pic related? For those curls, they probably had a cylinder-shaped object that they sprayed the loose hair-chunks to, possibly combined with the wire-and-tape method for the main parts of the spiral. It's tedious.

Stretch cotton twill would work great actually. Also for the stars, you can either fabric paint them on with a very steady hand or a vinyl stencil, OR you can buy some of that twill in white and either block it in, or satin stitch it on. Have fun either way! and please share your progress!!~

I'm using stretch twill for Junketsu, so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't also work well for the goku uniforms. I would applique the stars myself, I think it looks cleaner.

I think the point was they wanted a standalone episode as a tension breaker so that way you're coming off the high that was ep 1-3 then starting back at 5 they rebuild the tension again with Tsumugu's introduction. (Who should have had more potency in the later episodes... darn shame)

But with Maiko it was just a character who had gone rogue and she gets written off at the end because, again, it's a stand alone episode. It gives you some insight to the city of Honnouji and that's about it.

Had Kill la Kill been given a longer run time, there could have been chance for Maiko to try and find a way to come back or ally with Ragyo to take down Satsuki. Which in itself would have been really interesting to see!

Mako's Two Star hat is really close to a military style hat as it's a parody to Jotaro's hat. I don't know if it has a specific name but the roundness of it throws off everything. The police officer's cap cut in half and stylized would work, just depends on the hat at the end.

I'm decently fit and I'd like to make a transformed senketsu cosplay for dragon con. I've never made such a revealing costume before, so I have some questions for the ladies of cgl with more experience with this.
What fabric should I get to achieve the fitted look? I'd like it to have a vinyl look. Can the skirt part be made from the same fabric if I want the pleats to be really sharp?
What kind of tape(brands, wig tape or fashion tape) should I use to avoid wardrobe malfunctions?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Junketsu progress anon here again, I finished the eyes, epaulets, and armband yesterday. I'm not 100% happy with how the armband turned out, and I think I need fatter cord for the loops--would braiding the cord work okay? I don't think there is a fatter version of the color I got...

Anything you guys would change so far? I have three months until the "official" debut, but obviously don't want to remake anything major.

Maybe it's the angle, but Junketsu's eyes look kind of...wall-eyed and asymmetrical. I'm also not really feeling the armband. It looks limp and floppy whereas it's supposed to be, well, a series of switches/buttons. Same thing with the epaulets -- they're meant to make the shoulders look structured and boxy, so they usually have cardboard or something similar giving them shape. Otherwise I think the fit of the dress is very good and the skirt looks nice!
