Anybody have any tips for finding Aristocrat/Ouji/Generally fancy clothes for an actual guy? Yes. Avoid anything that is from a mainstream store because it is too easy to look like you are just dressing up formally. Usually men's sizing is for skinny asian men and so keep to the custom sizes. F+F is good for this, although do think about waht you are buying since they are hit or miss. Some taobao shops are custom, Try rose melody and R series. This is also where you dip into non lolita brands like H. Naoto and Atelier Boz.

Why does EGA look so shitty on actual guys? I've seen girls pull it off, but when guys wear it 90% of the time they just look like wannabe goth douchefags or bad VK cosplayers (which is more or less the same thing). 9/10 when a girl asks her bf to be aristo/ouji they go to Express and pick up a pink vest, or buy an ill fitting suit from F+F, and really the effort ends there. Guys do not groom and preen themselves, tailor the suit, or make the additional effort that lolitas are used to making for themselves. They just toss it on and figure the guy will figure it out for himself.

The good aristocrats obviously put hours of effort into their look, the same as a good lolita. The bad ones threw on a suit and waited for their gf to be done
