All of the characters are stereotypes. All of them. Think for a minute about their personalities.

Twilight's the nerd, Pinkie's the party girl, AJ's the tomboy/farmgirl, RD is the tomboy/athelete, Fluttershy is the shy/timid kid, and Rarity is the fashionista. They fit almost exactly into these stereotypes. It's no my opinion, it's how the characters were made, because they're then easily relatable for the children who watch the show.

I'm not making up the stereotypes. They exist, and the creators used them.

It might be better to wear lavender tights to prevent weird wrinkling. In fact, a lot of cosplayers doing odd skin colors go for tights for both their arms and legs just to not bother with makeup rubbing off everywhere.
I agree her hair is more grey but you may want to still tint it purple because between purple everything else, straight up grey will look VERY grey, and as far as I can tell it doesn't look like completely neutral grey. Could always be my screen but it'll look more aesthetically pleasing anyways imo.

You're right that Takarazuka Marie Antoinette doesn't have light blonde hair...but it is still a dark strawberry blonde. Neither the color nor the style the cosplayer used is anywhere close to what it should look like. Actually, that is me in the photo (and I'm a little miffed on being posted here at all, even in a 'positive' light) The reason my hair is the way it is, is because I'm not confident enough with wigs to make it myself, and the only people I knew who could handle the style had a price tag of $400+, after pouring all my extra expenses into the dress I just couldn't afford the wig at the time. It is however in the progress of being made now, these photos were taken by a friend for her portfolio.

Also for the live performances her hair was styled in a simple bouffant with curls in the back, which I have, my photographer just swept them over my shoulder for this particular photo. They have it way more fancy for the photobooks and posters.
