Ah ASTL, my home con.
Not a lolita, so i dont really give a fuck about any lolita fashions or groups.

I did hear the maid cafe was disorderly last year. Here's hoping they don't fuck up this year.

Past ASTL experinces has always been good for me (expect for one year tho.) People are cool and shit and for the most part dont be on some bullshit (expect for the drama faggots but everyone knows who they are so lol)

ASTL is the convention I keep going to every year. Also my 1st.

I didn't do maid cafe last year, but reading what happened last year I'm glad I didn't go.

Also heard Lexi Doll will be there.

Excited to attend for my second year with a KLK cosplay group. I was super pleased with the size of it last year, big enough to have interesting stuff to do, small enough to meet a lot of cool people.

That's what I like about ASTL as well.

I'm going to be with 3 other friends this year (one is cosplaying as Slenderman). Really hoping I can do a lot of things and meet a few people. Also excited about LittleKuriboh being there.

I agree that it's really nice! I've only been to Kawakon and ASTL though, so I suppose my views are a bit underdeveloped.

This will be the first year I go for all three days in a hotel, and I've attended since 2010. I'm really excited.

Yes! Two cosplays, and one day (Saturday because of the fashion show) I will wear lolita.

I might bring extra cosplays and lolita coords just in case though. I don't know when the tea party is going to be, and there is always the unfortunate situation in which you have malfunctions with certain cosplays and coords.

Sadly, I can't say I'll meet up with CGL people because I have too many friends that I already never get to see that will be around only that weekend. Plus this is probably my last ASTL (for a long while at least).

So I'm the loser from one of the previous threads who said he'd be volunteering at the thing (penniless deadbeat, ect.) Dunno if I'd be able to do the meetup because of my schedule, since I have no clue what it is, but if I'm able to I'll totally do a meetup. Besides, you guys might be able to help me get around my first con.

Anyone here stay at the doubletree last year? Someone set the fire alarm off on Friday night. Needless to say that was my only downside to last year's con.

What happened was last year someone set off the smoke alarms in the Doubletree hotel on Friday night. We all had to evacuate (even though there was clearly no fire). I don't know if it was intentional or accidental but everyone (including the fire fighters) were pissed off.

Ahh, I think I'm confused with another similar situation. I just know one of my friends was around during an emergency where everyone went into one room, and that included children pageant girls. Their mothers were horrified with the outfits.

I actually think it was a tornado warning, and that makes more sense...
