Just wondering, what do you guys do to protect your body line shoes from scuffing? Do any of you guys ever put like a clear or a matching color coat of shoe polish or something like that?

Lightly brush them with oil before wearing them. If I scuff, it's my big toe bumping against the inside heel of the other shoe as I walk - the oil is unnoticeable and makes it just slip right past without rubbing off the surface onto the other shoe. I have heard people taking off scuffs with rubbing alcohol, and gasoline has worked for me with the shiny patent ones.

I use a bit of acetone nail polish remover and use it on the tougher scuffs on some of my bodyline shoes. If it doesn't come off with rubbing alcohol, I try the stronger stuff. But one quick wipe or dab with a qtip or cotton ball is all you need. Leave it on too long and it'll damage it.

So, I've never bought from Bodyline before, but because of the no-shipping thing I might dive in for some shoes.

A couple questions though.

I've heard that their shoe sizing is funky, but I don't remember in which direction. My feet are around 25.5cm/U.S. size 8; should I size up or down?

Second, a lot of their shoes, such as pic related, list off-white instead of white, but the stock photos look pretty white. Does anyone have experience buying shoes in off-white? Are they more ivory or more pure white like in the stock photos?

Shopping for some maid stuff for fun. Does anyone know if these are true to size?

I'm skeptical because the smallest size they have has an 80cm waist, and usually they have stuff smaller and bigger than that (for reference, I'm a 72cm waist). The measurements for that popular seifuku they sell are completely wrong, so I was wondering if maybe that's the case here too.

Well, this isn't really strange considering their Lucky Packs were similar in content. Some people got half cosplays, another anon got a shitload of bows, some others got two exact same dresses/skirts and so on.

They didn't really put a lot of thought into the LP's and it just looked like they wanted to get rid of whatever they had in stock.

It was a mistake. But point being, I've never heard of Bodyline replacing things, refunding $ or sending new buttons etc., besides this case. Others may have more info but in my search it was more 'buyer beware because Bodyline customer service is nonexistent' so I just take that under advisement when ordering. I have it. I like the fabric way more than I expected to in all honesty. I think my only complaint is that it sits a little funny at the buttons on the front. Like, the two sides drift away from each other, if that makes sense. Easily fixed with the addition of snaps between the buttons.

My first order was $400. Got a bunch of basics for when I first started out, so I could comfortably play around with different styles without spending too much. It was worth it. I caved and bought a few more things figuring that inexpensive, versatile 'wash and wear' pieces means I'll wear more Lolita coordinates more often.

The things I've bought there have mostly all been plain black separates barring one print skirt so they don't shout 'oh hey look, Bodyline' quite as much as the printed pastels do.

They don't look narrow in the toe. I have the 3 bow chunky heel and then the tea party style with ribbon and both have kind of bulby toes and resemble this. The only ones from BL that I've heard are narrow are the oxfords and the RHS styles (and mine are, plus running small too) and pic related. But do check reviews, better safe than sorry)I have average calves and think tea parties and flats like your pic make everyone's calves look stumpier.

If your foot measure is 24.5, a 25 regular shoe should be right so I'd actually get a 25.5 in RHS depending on what you usually wear and your foot width...but DO read individual reviews to decide, even the several RHS styles vary among themselves, it seems. One day I will have them all!

I measure 25cm in foot length and I order my BL tea parties and other BL shoes 25.5 but my RHS 26 and they all fit without toe bumping the end when I walk. Both the leg strap and ankle spike RHS are quite a bit narrower than my other BL shoes but I have a narrower foot and my Tea Parties gap a bit, like most western one-width shoes do on me.

I got the RHS with ankle spikes in 25.5 first and they are short. But ymmv.

I have a question about BL´s panniers. I know in general they suck, I own acc011 and added a few layers of tulle to get a medium poof.
But there are two that actually look decent. The pan056 which seem to be worn of the models and the new one pan078.
I think they could work for a medium poof, which I want for a daily wear/casual look, what do you think? Does anyone one one of these?

Just speculation but I don't have high hopes. Unless Pettis are chiffon, they deflate. Some sooner than others but eventually all.

If people must get budget petti, it's understandable but it actually saves money in the long run to get chiffon in your chosen shape(s) because you only ever have to buy them once. More comfy and convenient too, no layering.

Navy tights are actually easy to find from Forever21, HUE, or other common retail brands. If you're in the US, SockDreams sells cheap jeweltone tights too with free shipping. I'd avoid plain white tights if you can, they rarely work as well as a color or a bit of a designed tight/otk.

It's pretty good quality, though a little thin. the trim is organza, and the lace is still, because it's polyester. it's got an elastic waist in the back. also, sometimes, the print is sewed on crookedly.
it can fit a pretty damn big petti underneath, too. I really like it, though. very pretty. the trim is especially.

The dress is actually really lovely up close and worn right. The dress is tight fitting on the shoulders but apart from that it is really comfortable. I also found it a bit short so I'd recommend only wearing 1 petticoat as this dress can't take a massive amount of puff without it showing. It was my favorite dress in the pink colorway for a very long time, want it in blue and black.

Also the tulle material over the skirt of the jsk is super soft and flows nicely. Hope they restock it some day.

I have it in blue, it's quite nice but really just your generic Bodyline skirt. It's a bit short as well. If you're picky on trims you may want to remove the ruffle at the bottom but I don't mind it. My only negative is that even though it will stretch, if you're at the top of the measurement range it will be uncomfortably tight.

Been looking forward to my paycheck all month because I wanted in on some new brand reservations, found some stuff still on sale from brand websites, and found some stuff on Closet Child that I really wanted. And then the company I work for (small business) had an issue with the bank and I didn't end up getting paid until a week after my supposed payday. The reservations and sale items all sold in that time except a couple of pairs of shoes intended to match the reserved pieces, so I was pretty pissed off.

Long story short, I suddenly have a pile of cash and none of the things I intended to spend it on are available any more. I also needed some wardrobe basics, and Bodyline has this sale on. Do I just say "fuck it" and order a load of shoes, wigs and plain JSKs off Bodyline? Or do I save the money until the next brand piece I really want? I've never owned a brand dress before, so I was excited to be buying several, but I don't wear lolita often (cons and occasional meets), whereas shoes can be worn with my everyday clothes. Advice, seagulls?

Oh no, I already have blouses, I didn't mean to give the impression that I didn't. I have a fairly sizeable offbrand wardrobe but it's a lot of stuff like original prints from Taobao brands that can't really be dressed down at all, so I was hoping to pick up some plainer pieces from Bodyline so I'll be able to wear lolita more often. I don't have many wigs or a lot of legwear so it'd probably be sensible to buy some. Although I'm not technically lacking in shoes (the three pairs I have are all properly lolita and match pretty much everything I own), I still really like a lot of the shoes on the Bodyline site and I'd like to have a shoe collection that I can colour-match to my dresses in future instead of just having black, brown and cream pairs.

I had some money set aside for potentially good spring brand releases but I ended up not liking what was offered so I did the Bodyline basics thing, plain OP, some non-print JSKs, shoes, etc with some of the money. It will let me wear Lolita much more often with wash and wear pieces. I only spent about 1/2 what I'd set aside though. I'm saving the rest for brand stuff.

Part of the reason I only wear it to cons and meets is because I don't wanna wear delicate things around the house (solved by Bodyline because it's wash-and-wear) and can't wear printed things because of work and college dresscodes. It'd be nice to wear it more often. Ideally, I'd buy some more subtle Innocent World dresses secondhand, thus fulfilling both the brand and dresscode aspects, but nothing I can see at the moment really jumps out at me.

I'd chance it if I hated the lace. If it showed you could always replace it with prettier, smaller and less obnoxious trim to cover the needle holes. Just be sure to remove what you want to take off before you wash or wear it. Taking trim off of a new dress is often less noticeable than one that's been washed.

I've been thinking about removing the lace from the sleeves of L088 because it's really transparent. They run wide for sure, and I'd say maybe a half size long. My feet are 23cm and I got 23.5, they were pretty huge on me.

My feet are just a millimeter or two under 23.5 and I bought my RHS in 23.5. they are a tiny bit cramped and thin (my feet are also really thin) but they do fit. Given the choice I think I'd buy a larger size but they do work. I'd buy the 25 to be safe.

Aww, such nostalgia. The black one was my first lolita dress. It didn't really work with my style, but it is pretty! The pattern is very vibrant and the fabric is quite thick and soft, for bodyline. I wore it with a pink blouse, but I think it would look better with a black one.
As far as fit goes, my measurements are B: 84 cm and W: 66 cm and it fit me like a glove in size M. make of that what you will I guess
