Oo I need this thread.
I've been looking for a waist cincher for a while. The problem is I'm a petite shortie so it's difficult to find one that isn't up to my boobs or go past my hips. Corsets are too extreme for what I want, I just want a defined hourglass waist-- or a glorified belt. A lot of waist cinchers I've found look too boxy and bondage-y.

>pic related, what made me begin my search.

How short is your torso? Because being tiny doesnt mean you cant fit into normal underbusts. Generally though there isnt a big market in cinchers. I would suggest What katie did, they do have a baby corset that is a cincher.

Holy cow that's expensive. I want something preferably around 22 in in length, but shorter would be great since I'm really just defining my waist, not my entire torso. I'm thinking about just giving up until I have enough money to splurge.

Try to find a 32C (I know it's not easy, I'm a 26D and I had to noodle around with bra sizes too. I ended up being most comfortable in a 30B) and then move up or down a size (or try changing cup or band sizes while keeping the other measurement the same) until you find what's most comfortable for you.

Are you using European or American sizing? Because I know I was lucky enough that Victoria's Secret had a sister size that fit me (US 32DDD, EU 32F), so you might get lucky if there's one near you. If not, then you're most likely going to have to go to a boutique, because I can guarantee you that no one's going to have a band size that small (every department store I looked at, I was told that DDDD/FF was plus size).

Don't go for a 32 C, because I can guarantee you that it will not fit. In my experience, don't go more than two sister sizes up or down, because that's the reason why so many women are wearing the wrong bra size. Stick between a 32F and a 26G

>> No.7410177

>>7410153
Because they have to make bras based on average sizes.

Not many people will have a 28F, or a 26D, so it's a waste of money to make it for the company. So we have to deal with what we can fit in comfortably, and that just happens to be how the conversion usually fits.

>>7410165
I don't remember where it's from, I saw it in a hart in a thread like this a while ago.

Basically, for every cup size you go down, the band size goes up by 2.

So if you were measured at say, a 28E, it would be

28E = 30D = 32C = 34B = 36A

>>7410151
Also, balls, I skipped over E because I don't into alphabet.

So

28F = 30E = 32D = 34C = 36B = 38A (does 38A even exist?)

In my case it was 26D = 28A = 30B

>> No.7410182

>>7410177
Wow, what the actual fuck is wrong with my brain today?

*26D = 28C = 30B

God damn I don't mean to keep bumping this thread, but for anyone who has no idea what they're doing when they're going bra shopping, here's a few things to look out for

>The gore (the thing between the two cups) should tack (be touching the sternum). If the gore isn't tacking, then the band is too big.
>The band needs to be completely parallel to the floor, so if you're able to pull the back down so it's the same place as the front, then it's too big
>if you have to rely on the straps at all, the band is too big (you should be able to take the straps off and still feel supported. Do a little wiggle if you have to)
>If there's any extra space at the top of the cup, the cup's too big
>If you get double boob, the cup's too small
If you think you have the right size (the band is tight and supportive, no double boob, etc.), then stoop and scoop, especially if you've been wearing the wrong bra size. To do this, lean forward, pull out the edge of the cup, and scoop the "back fat" into said cup. The "back fat" you'll commonly see is most likely just migrated breast tissue from ill fitting bras. I was trying on a US 32DD, and it fit fine until I did the "stoop and scoop", and lo and behold, it was too small.

>> No.7410221

How many bras do you own, cgl? I'll be honest, I only have a handful that I cycle through a few times each before washing. If they sold bras in bulk I would buy so many...

>> No.7410225

>>7410214
>The gore should tack

Yeah, no. I have very little body fat, and there's no possible way in HELL that could ever happen to me unless it was very much uncomfortably tight. The bands sit right in the cavity between the ribs. If you're super skinny like I am, that'll never happen without a LOT of discomfort.

>>7410221
I think I own like 8, but I only really wear three of them unless it's for a certain shirt that the others would stick out with.

I had a strange experience with bras.

I've been wearing the same 32DD bras for about a year. they were pretty terrible and unsupportive from the beginning but I was used to it and didn't really notice.

On the last one of these threads, I found out I'm apparently supposed to be 30G which sounded ridiculous (underbust 29" overbust 37"). So I went to nordstrom rack and tried on two of every bra from 28DDD to 34B.

Turns out the best-fitting ones were the 32Cs. They were absolutely perfect - didn't ride up in the back, front band against my chest, underwire exactly in the right spot, etc.

After I got home I measured my chest with the new bras, and lo and behold the measurements changed enough that I now measured as a 30D/32C. My bust measurement shrank two entire inches! I guess it's because all the tissue is now supported and in the right spot. anyway I'm ecstatic I now have a 35" bust

tl;dr it's probably still worth trying on a million bras even if you think you have your "ideal size"

>> No.7410531

I really recommend that all of you please, please measure yourself for the proper bra size and get at least a few that will fit you correctly.
My whole life I'd been wearing a 32A, because those were the smallest I could find and I had super small small tits.
I happened across a video on Youtube about a year ago on how to measure yourself correctly, so I tried it out just for the hell of it. Turns out I'm a 26D. A D-CUP.
So I managed to find myself a few well-fitting bras and it made a huge difference. I don't slouch as much, my back and shoulders feel better than they ever have (all this pain I didn't know I was experiencing every day just vanished), and my flat, somewhat droopy chest is now perkier and bigger.
When you wear the wrong cup size, your breast tissue can get squished and deformed, which can turn into back, underarm, and side fat. Ill-fitting bras can also give you chronic headaches, permanent back and spine damage, and wear out your muscles! So please please look into it guys.

That bra size guide that's been circulating around recently has deemed me a 26DD (26" underbust and 31" bust).
I live near Atlanta, Georgia, and let me tell yah, I've been searching for months and the only sites that sell anything less than a 30C are either aimed at preteens or from the UK. Honestly, for the past years I've been buying 34B push-up bras and wearing them on the tightest setting, cause those were the most readily available and I always felt like if the cups didn't fit completely I could add in some extra padding.
So basically...

I think the answer is going to be "no" until a significant number of people educate themselves on proper bra sizes, and start demanding more "realistic" and consistent sizing. One of the big reasons boutiques are able to go around doubling the price is because it's something you need, as well as pretty much selling to a niche market.

If you have the cash (I'm talking like $100 per bra), there's intimacy in Phipps Plaza. You also have to be comfortable showing your naked breasts to the fitter, since they will stand there the entire time you try stuff on. (but it's kinda nice, cause they'll also pull all the bras for you, so no digging through 50 million bras that don't fit)

You might also have some luck with LiviRae in Kennesaw. The smallest band the carry is a 32, but they alter bands for smaller sizes. I was totally out of luck there, unfortunately, because even the smallest 32 A is usually too big (I not only have a small band, but also small cups. I'm like 28B/30A). Admittedly, I never tried getting fitted there, I just kinda gave up when they told me that was the smallest band they carried. Does anyone have the bra calculator link that we were all using a couple months ago? It had you punch in six or so measurements: bust standing up, bust leaning over, bust laying down and underbust inhale, underbust exhale, tight as the tape can go, looseat but not falling down. Something like that.
Am I ringing bells?

Try on a bunch of bras with a 30 band size, but different cup sizes until you find one that fits. I have shallow breasts, so I had to go with either a demi or balconette. It'll probably take an hour or more, but keep trying on different cup sizes, and different styles, and you'll eventually find something that fits. Just remember, though, that a 30D for one company is possibly a 28D for another, so you need to be persistent.

When I first started birth control, my boobs swelled up a whole cup size and a half, maybe more. Granted, they were so sore I couldn't even taken advantage of my new found borderline bustiness. They stayed like that for like two or three months, before going back to normal, but not before I bought a slew of a new bras.
After that, I did gradually gain another cup size or so, and that has stayed. I was about 17, though, so I may not have been done growing. Now I have the same ratio of over to underbust as my mom, so it makes me think that the hormones didn't actually make me grow, they just kinda sped up the remaining growing I already had in me.
Also, for me, birth control has actually helped me control my weight. It seems to make me fluctuate less, but I also have always gained weight almost exclusively in my butt and thighs, which is directly related to hormones.

To keep this from being a sage:
I don't know whether these would fall under "loliable", but Panache has bras that go all the way to 28K, and asos makes them pretty available.

I've spent the last 3 or 4 hours reading all these bra guides and perusing all these unusual bra size stores and I want to cry.
According to the sizing guides, I'm a 26DD. The two closest "sister sizes" are 28D and 30C. They're fucking nowhere.
The band size is too small for most normal sites. The cup size is too big for most petite sites. The band/cup size combination is too small for most busty sites.
The handful I have found are the small bits of full-priced-ness among a majestic field of sales.
On one hand, I wish I could go back to willful ignorance of yesteryear. On the other hand, I've always known my bras don't fit worth a shit.

I'm a 28E, and I've been able to find 30Ds without a ton of problems. It takes some searching, and you're going to have to pay a bit more, but you can do it.
Panache has a good selection, and Journelle carries a few brands that design bras with smaller bands/bigger cup. However, they are mostly fancy. I've yet to find a good basic bra in my real size.

I'm a 30DDD/E and I've always struggled with finding a bra that fits well. After a trip to Nordstroms I found the brand Panache, I absolutely love their Cleo line of bras and they fit from a 28 band to a J cup.

Unfortunately the company doesn't carry anything smaller than a D, but for the people on here with small band sizes and large cups it really is a good option. You'll have to google the exact styles to find sites to purchase the product from though.

Though importing them may be expensive as hell, at least they'll fit. I'd have to suggest Tarea brand, they're really great and pretty cheap. Please note that a UK 32E corresponds to a EU/JAP 70F. I'm assuming since you think that you're a 26, your ribcage is ~65 cm around. If we take the EU/JAP band size of 65, it converts to a US band size of 30, not 26. A band size of 26 would be suitable for someone 55 cm around, not 65. Perhaps try a different brand in a 30 band size?

I know, I've been searching those sites and brands. What I meant was 28D is relatively rare even among rare bra size websites. Also, judging by the pictures, most of the bras are full coverage, which I know is important for bigger Ds, but not what I want/need in the slightest. And I think we have different definitions of paying "a bit more", because a majority of the bras on Figleaves are close to $100 each. Seeing as how I have zero bras that actually fit, that would rack up reeeeally fast.

I had a friend that this happened to, except the underwire cut her under the boob and it became infected. Eventually she had to slice it a bit to squeeze out all the puss.

Droopy boobs make a big difference. I have a similar problem, but just naturally rank and saggy rather than due to anything proactive like your weight-loss, and the droopiness means I get gaps at the top of the cup like it's too big, and double boob/overspill from about half way. For years I couldn't figure out whether I was wearing too big or too small (turns out I was too big at the bottom and too small at the top due to the amount of sag). As weird as it sounds, using a chicken fillet to redistribute boob vertically kind of works. Just make sure the band fits and there's no double boob. The balconette style bra that comes from underneath and stops half way up over where the nipple is suppose to be works too, but they can be a bitch to find in bigger cup sizes

Not sure if this would be the right thread for this, but does anyone know where I can get a good binder for cosplay? Are any of the ones available on eBay from Chinese sellers good, or are they all iffy?

Ebay. I love the Shock Absorber Level 4 support ones, they come in 28-38 band and A-H cup, plus you can get them for about $10 each

Yet another bra question here.

The bra that fits me best is a 32E (UK size). However the band is too big and rides up during the day, and there's even a small bit of the cup that digs into the top of my breasts.

It says that my sister size is a 30F- a wooping 65G in my country- which is impossible, since I can't comfortable fit into 65F's without a lot of gapping. I'm not sure what /good quality/ bras I should be buying online, and since they're very costly, I'm too afraid to risk it.

You need a 30F with a semi cup. Also if you can't find demi, get strapless.

You seem like the Anon to ask about this... So with all those front-clasp bras, what can you do if you have uneven boobs? I'm talking Low B and a D, here. I can't seem to get a good amount of participation on the one side to get a good even cleavage.

You're going to have to use some type of Chicken Cutlets, bra inserts or padding.

These are super good and don't feel bad if you have to double or use different ones to get your desired effect

Can anyone help me with the sizing of this? I wear a 32B (US size), I'm a bit confused.. sorry if it's obvious

>> No.7431985

>>7431961
As far as I understand it, Japanese sizing is:
Underbust in cm = band size - round to the nearest 5
Cup size = every 5cm difference between your overbust and band is one cup size

So my underbust is 68cm and overbust is 80cm. I round to the nearest 5 for underbust (70 band) and then since my overbust is 10cm bigger than band size, that's a B cup. So I wear a 70B in Japanese sizing. The "western" size that fits me best is usually an 8B/30B

>> No.7431993

>>7431985
Why do you say western size? Japanese sizes are the same as european sizes, the ones you listed is like england and france only.. >>7431961

I wear bralettes as well. I have really perky shallow breasts and a tiny band size, but a D cup. Heads up to other girls like me, bralettes are really awesome. Got mine at target but I want kawaii ones on taobao.
