the way bodyline and most brands work for prints is that they want vectored things, its cheaper to print and easier for most graphic designers to work with. If you look at any brand, they stick to a very limited color pallet.

The thing i slapped together involves gradients and all kinds of shit, so it would require much more ink to print.

Plus since due to sheerness, even if it's cotton voile or other soft natural, add a camisole layer so for me it's actually hotter than a crisp but slightly heavier opaque cotton blouse.

Also, I think the back lacing with no shirring is going to look odd if it has to be pulled in at all.

I bought their Chihiro Fujisaki costume and now waiting on it to arrive, I would've sewn my own but school is really hammering down on me at the moment so buying was my only choice considering how close the con I need it for is. The only thing I'm really worried about is that the skirt may be too short to cover over the petticoat from my Madoka cosplay which I'll be using to poof it up.

I went to japan a few years back and saw a few wearing it. Not the actual dresses but things like boleros and shoes and jackets with their brand. I'm guessing mostly because you can't really tell with those items unless you know most of the bodyline stock already and if you need something quick to match everything else it's a cheap buy.

it honestly depends on your measurements - i ordered the navy in M and both the top and skirt are quite short, so you'd probably need a button-up cardigan or somesuch as a coverup

i'd have purchased it in 2L/3L - those sizes appear to be much larger re: bust and waist dimensions, but they're only a centimetre or two longer, if that makes sense

the material is polyester, with the skirt having an odd "cupcake" silhouette - i ended up snipping one of the threads at the bottom
