Does anybody know if Angelic Pretty's non-adjustable rings would fit larger ring sizes? Like size 8, for example? Pic related.

My question is about the strawberry parlor jsk. The measurements on Lolibrary are ambiguous and I would like to know the max measurements. I'm 47 bust with a 39 waist and under bust and love this to pieces. I would like to know if I should give up on it or keep saving.

Warning for plus size Lolitas, Angelic Pretty's Toy Parade JSK (re-release version) has full back shirring but doesn't accommodate larger bust sizes at all. If you're over 100cm then getting in and out of this dress is like bathing a feral cat.

Stupid question: If I'm a few centimeters (one or two) too big for a dress, should I still try to fit in it?

Skirts will do that if you have the dreaded segmented midsection. High waist jumpers and empires will look the best but if you find a fully shirred A-line Op those look really nice and fit a larger range of sizes.

You want to call as much attention as possible to your waistline. It brings out your figure and makes you look slimmer overall. Skirts and blouses should be fine (just make sure they fit you well!) I wouldn't recommend high-waisted things personally.

Most high waist skirts will have some sort of boning, whereas its okay if you're in their max measurements I would only buy if it was a few cms off because otherwise it would be far too uncomfortable.

I've just ordered two custom sized blouses because somehow I manage to be spread across three of their different sizes.

It depends? I was larger and had no major difficulties around 106 cm. (109 when I first bought it and it was very snug sometimes pictures of me in it pop up in these threads when I was that size but it looked like boobloaf). I'm 100 now and most all AP back shirring fits fine, some are still a bit snug though. AP's shirring is pretty snug and tight compared to other brands. I have to wiggle into some things even if there is 10-15cm to spare. I find IW, Meta and Baby to be a little easier to get in and out of. I have a much easier time with OPs, probably because the bodices tend to be a little looser in general compared to JSKs which need to be a lot more conforming even if you are closer to the minimum measurements.

On that note if anyone's into sewing or has the money to spare, Renaissance/Elizabethan corsets are great for flattening the boobs without the boob bulge and are a lot more comfortable than modern corsets, surprisingly. I have a timeless trends corset. It works great as shapewear. But it doesn't do much for taking off measurements (it adds to them because it's so thick). If you're looking for a corset that reduces measurements, you might be better off getting one custom-made. Unfortunately, my shoulder measurement was too large and also my arm circumference so my blouse was too big in the arms and the neck is huge. My boobs on down fit perfect, though, and the dresses were perfect except for being a bit wide in the shoulders. Depends on the brand. OTK socks will usually fit, but like knee socks since the give the fabric has will go horizontally instead of vertically, which also warps the design. The more nylon the socks are made from, the stretchier they are.
Enchantilic Echantilly socks are a God send, they will fit bigger calves as OTK socks.

This may be an odd request, but can someone make a decently sized masterpost of inspirational plus sized lolitas? I've been teetering on the fence of getting into frills for the last four years, but every time I go to make the purchase, I feel as if it simply isn't for me, despite four years of intense research. If you have plastic rings with a little gap at the back like that one, boil a pot of water and hold the ringback in the water using tongs so you don't get scalded. My body is not necessarily plus sized (though I'm not terribly skinny, either), but my bust size is 100cm. I can definitely find dresses that I can fit into, but they either cut my torso at the wrong place or squish down my boobs a lot.
Full shirring looks horrid on me, though I know it's an option I could do and just wear a cardigan or something over top.

I'm also not a big fan of drop or drop corset waists because unless there's a legit waist pinching corset built into the dress, it makes me feel self conscious and sometimes even gives me back rolls.

How terrible is it to make the decision, as a fat woman, to wear baby-doll styled dresses? I've seen some girls pull them off flawlessly while others fall a bit short of flattering their bodies. There's a few high waisted or baby doll brand dresses that can accommodate a larger bust and waistline, which has certainly attracted my attention. I guess I'm just really perplexed how some girls that are a few sizes larger than me can pull off these dresses while I stare at the dress measurements thinking "how the fuck did they do it."

Agreed. This kind of shit is irritating. I'm down about 70lbs total (hopefully 90 lost by mid-summer if I can get to my goal by then) and I'm currently about the same size roughly. But I'm still considered within the plus range as well. I also fell into depression and gained a ton from being entirely sedentary and sleeping all the fucking time.

It's like an automatic assumption that plus size = 300+lbs for everyone who uses that label and has no self control. There is no grey area.

But I've just been eating right and working out. Fluctuate between 1300-1500 calories a day, with a cheat day here and there. I weight lift twice a week, and when I have time, I do cardio. My job is pretty rigorous, so I like to pretend that's my cardio

Yeah. That would be best. I usually do that after I've lost a little to see what I'm at with my usual shapewear. Don't forget about underbust measurement either. If you're busty (at least a D+), you want to make sure that your waist measurement fits within the listed measurements for the waist. Unless the brand doesn't list it and then just research or try your luck. I have the worst time with partial shirring and this.

Not necessarily Lolita-related, but has anyone tried using stationary bikes for exercise?

My grandma offered to let me borrow hers, but I'm not sure just how much weight it'd help me lose. I usually just play DDR for exercise but I'm always willing to try something new.

Bloomers are pretty easy to make, actually, assuming you don't vneed lace and other frills. You can check out lolita tutorials and start out with the most simple pattern fist. Otherwise you can always buy a custom-sized one from fan plus friend.

Any hope for someone with a 104cm bust to fit into anything Emily Temple Cute? I have my eyes on two OPs (one with a fully shirred waist, one with full back shirring) but I have a feeling they wouldn't fit anyone with over a 100cm bust.

I played DDR hardcore in highschool and lost 10lbs and had muscly as fuck alves...

It's pretty much the same as running or other cardio exercises. One of my DDR games had a workout mode that determined approximately how many calories you've burned by calculating your height and weight. Obviously there's some room for error, but iirc I burned about 80 calories a song, and 10 minutes of slow jogging only burns 100 ish.
