Perfect cosplays are few and far between, but they do exist, and she's making it seem like there's no such thing and "if she can't do it, nobody can". Annoying.
This whole situation is being blown to proportions larger than necessary by tumblr. If people didn't want to be posted to bad cosplay blogs, they should've thought before posting their terrible cosplays online. It's not like it's a secret that they're bad.

Name one cosplay that has been posted in these threads that hasn't been subject to nitpicking or critique. Just one. I'm guessing you won't be able to because even the cosplays this thread for the most part loves have still been criticized here. Take that perfect Celes from the UK, her costume and wig were amazing but anons were still scrambling to pick at her makeup and tiny stupid things like her jacket waist. Are you talking about Mon's celes? I think the main reason she faced critique was because her pictures look so edited, but she's damn near perfect. There are also a few Ibukis posted that look top-tier as well, and there was a Peko in an earlier post that looked flawless.
And of course people will criticize it even if it's perfect, because they don't like the idea of anyone being a 100% accurate character or have some sort of grudge.

I was originally going to buy le tigre and weft it into a pigtail wig, but now since i'm gonna go with lightning redux it seems silly not to buy a chibi as it's a pre-pigtail wig that i can get in that color.
i'm thinking of going for a chibi then buying 2 short wefts (19" each) and wefting them in to add volume to the pigtails.

I ended up not going either in favor of another meetup haha there were two dr meetups saturday for some reason though? Im not sure what the deal was with that, but im still wondering how everyone liked it. I did go to the friday shoot, however! I think the decision of where everyone would stand was really poorly made, in fact i think that the photographer here was trying to cover the sun so the cosplayers wouldnt be silhouetted. I thought the sakura and asahina that went were really cute but have yet to see pictures of them come up surprisingly?
