There's going to be a DR meet at a local con of mine next week, hopefully it's not going to be terrible, but last time I went to a meet it was incredibly dull, but the cosplayers weren't too bad except for the two face-painted Monobears. I'll never understand why that's a done thing.
And a quick question for anyone else who does gjinka Monomi/Monobear - is it worth just sticking with the dual-coloured wigs for them, or would it look better to get two wigs and sew them together? I have a black and white wig, but it's thin and terrible to style, but I'm not sure if people would think this a good idea.

Unless the meet is run by 2-3 people who know what they're doing, it turns into a lot of standing around in a big group, being in the way, 14 year olds trying to be funny, people trying to ironically talk about memes, etc etc etc.
There's just so many characters and variations that meets also tend to take a long time to get everyones pictures, not including pairings or other group shots.

Then again everyone is usually pretty nice and I get to chat with some interesting people.

Don't. Don't do any of those things. This isn't Homestuck, there's no room for interpretation about how the characters might really look. Just cosplay a canon outfit. Wanna be different? Maybe try doing her outfit from Dangan Ronpa 0/her outfit her wore back in school, but do not make your own design. Nice! I'd say make sure you press everything before putting it on, the collar, pleats etc will give a more "cosplay perfect" look if they're crisp. Go a little heavier on the foundation...and maybe pad your bust? (sorry!) She has a really distinctive silhouette that doesn't come naturally.

This isn't too bad. You already mentioned the wig, so there's no point in discussion of it unless you'd like. I think your main thing is make up. Junko definitely has big lashes and the gyaru look because she's a model for that type. Get your eyebrows threaded or waxed and put a bit of make up on them. You'll definitely need to look into upper and lower false lashes.

I'd recommend Arda! They have a wig called "Chibi" that comes in pigtails that could be easily braided to fit Peko's hairstyle. I think it's 30$, but their wigs are high quality, so it'd be worth it.

Hello guys! I'm planning to do a Monomi cosplay soon and I'm trying to find a perfect wig. I've wanted to do clip-on pigtails, but it seems impossible to find two-toned wig in that style. Should I go for simple long curly hair or try to get a white wig with pigtails and paint half of it pink?

You might actually be able to pull off a chibi with clips over the pigtails. Cifera's wig is clip ons and its one of my favorites. With the chibi as a base and clips cut and styled on top youd have the pigtail part and also the thick pigtails.

Okay so imo i think the bow is fine, size wise, you should practice more with your eye-makeup, try and familiarize yourself with false eyelashes,
for your wig, i agree with the others, it needs some volume and a bit of curl to it, also try and part it better (arda has some really good wig-styling videos on you tube, so try and find those)
the bow for your dress needs to be redone, and needs more shape and a different some what brighter red, the dress itself the fabric looks kinda strange, it needs to be darker in colour, but since i can't see the rest of it i can't really give much more than that.

do softly style your wig like a few other anons suggested. i personalyl think you should get a smaller petticoat!! it seemed your dress was smaller than the petticoat so it looks a lil weird. you should use some soft lipgloss colors n try to have a more soft smile. do try to get a thicker belt and attempt to do the lines on sonias socks for more accuracy. i hope this encourages you to improve i'd love to see it later on!!
also i think you should get a better photographer! i think the quality is fine but the composition for some of the photos are a little odd, so good luck!

hi, i was looking into buying a better junko wig soon seeing as my current wig is blonde rather than the pinky- ash blonde shade junko has and I was wondering if i could have you guys opinion on which wig i should buy seeing as you guys always seem to have the best eye for detail.

these were the closest shades i could anywhere, but the mauve colour doesn't come in the' chibi' pigtail wig from arda, the 'le tigre' is the only wig long enough to work with, however i think mauve is a better fit, i find serah redux a bit too pink.

so, I'm not sure whether to buy the chibi wig in serah redux and buy clip on pigtails in the same color, OR buy le tigre, use the criss-cross method to tie it up and then add extra wefts for the volume in the pigtails

my gut feeling is to go with the mauve shade, even if it's a little extra work but i wanna nail the color because if i'm gonna pay the money for this wig i don't want it to be the wrong color haha

And I'm NOT just gonna leave the pigtails hanging there, I plan to style them into slightly wavy spiked sections, it's kinda hard to explain, but I wanna get it similar to the wig in >>7357550
so i'm gonna buy a bunch of got2b freeze spray and go at it that way
