The part that gets me the most is she talks about how we're in a shaming society. Bitch, for the most part Western countries have no idea what shame is which is exactly why the natives are in such states. Japan is a nation BUILT on shame and its that shame culture that drives most suicides. I actually understand what she is saying. It's not really kosher using someone's pic without consent and it's also not cool to think that everyone should fit your idea of pretty.

But that outfit is just terrible.

I find it interesting that she didn't post the shoop that really does look better. It improved her shoe/hoisery choice, her hair style, and the workmanship on her dress. All things she can fix.

This costume was a slapdash effort and I looked like the wrong end of a long night of drinking (which might have had something to do with the long night of drinking beforehand...).

I selected the area and air brushed the tattoos just enough to use the healing too brush on em.

I used liquify to move her face around and lighten it up.

A good rule of thumb when photoshopping pictures is to always make sure their eyes are in focus. So I sharpened those along with her mouth.

some other easy tips that really make a difference is the sharpen and blur tools. Always sharpen up the eyes and mouth or darken their shadows with that darken tool thing.

when you go to filters->sharpen->unsharp mask, this is a really important finisher to help sharpen up the whole photo. Just play around with it to see what you like.

Actually a lot of places sell them. If you google 'detachable bangs' or 'bang clip' you'll get lots of hits. Look around and read reviews. Since I just went and cut mine when I had the urge to, I never experimented. From what I've heard, though, the best idea is to find a website that is willing to send you swatches of their hair colors, that way you can be sure you nab the right color. :)

Actually, that is not true. Getting in shape doesn't mean starving yourself, it means building a solid knowledge of how nutrition works. I eat meat and chocolate every day and I'm still 130lbs at 5'10", because I know how to balance it out

i just use a basic web editor so i don't really know how to explain but i'll try.

>use a screen of white to lighten dark areas (spots/under-eye area/upper lip)
>put a skin colored tint over the face to even the skin tone
>use a smoothing brush over the face but avoid the eyes/eyebrows/outline of the nostrils and septum
>another layer of smoothing to fix spots that are still visible
>use a screen of white and make two upside down triangles underneath the eyes for highlighting
>apply the same down the bridge of the nose for highlighting/slimming/shaping effect
>optional: add a screen of light cyan to the entire photo to make the skin look porcelain instead of yellow/pink

what i do is really basic. the key is just fading everything out.. using semi-transparent layers so that nothing looks ridiculously fake.

it's your typical mom/little sister editing site...

the tool i use is "tint". in the little toolbar that pops up you have to tick "reverse effect" to apply the effects only where you want them with the brush. there's a dropdown bar and the "screen" setting is the one i use for all of the highlighting.
