Do anyone have experience with Direction hair dye ?
I've got a tie and die like the picture. I got my hair bleached blonde at the hairdresser. When I tried the Direction semi-permanent plum dye, my hair ended up blue, same thing with violet dye.
Now I use cherry red dye, my hair stay purple one week and quickly become blue then turquoise. I don't understand.
Bump with my inspirations

I have been bleaching my hair to be a white silvery color for years but recently decided to grow my real hair (dark blonde) because my scalp is beyond destroyed from the harsh chemicals.

It was bad, like major scabs, flaking and dryness. Not including the regular itch and burning of the dye.

Question is, has anyone else have this happen to them? How long until your scalp felt better? My scalp is still pretty bad despite having about 3in of new growth. I have a feeling I fucked it up for life.

So, I'm in a fucked up hair situation again. I hate showing my forehead since I already have some bad forehead wrinkles. I'm also chubby and sport a round face. My issue is my face is round and my forehead is small, so my blunt bangs makes my head look tiny. The first time I cut my bangs I grabbed too much hair and my bangs went to right about my ears, it was a mess. Recently I tried re cutting my bangs and now I have messy chunks of hair on the side from my previous cut that looks like I'm trying to pull a messy hime haircut. It looks kind of like pic related ( It's not me, the shitty side bits look like mine ).

I tried straightening my hair to go to the side, but I just can't get it to stay. I can't seem to get them to curl to the side the way I want them to, which I'll provide in the next post. I've used a high quality straightener and a curling iron. It ends up just flopping to the side, overlapping and looking chunky/messy, or falls back down. Then I have these chunks on the sides that hang down and make my face look even more ridiculous. How do I make my bangs go to the side? I've been trying to train them by parting my hair, pinning them to the side and blow drying them.

When you use the flat iron, don't clamp it down as tight as you can, keep it loose. Then as you straighten, slowly pull it in a curve in the direction you want your bangs to go.

But if you want to make sure your bangs don't flop forward ever, you'll need some hairspray.

Can you try to wash it less often, say every third day? Use dry shampoo on the days inbetween if you are having trouble with it being oily, I promise your scalp will soon adjust. Hey guys!
I have really thin and straight hair (typical asian stuff).
I have bangs but they don't look that great, my hair gets really oily the day after I wash it, and it looks very flat overall.
How do I get more volume? I`ve been using herbal essence volumnizing shampoo but I don't think it`s helping (and I heard that herbal essence isn't that good for your hair so I`m just going to finish off this bottle)

>> No.7354964

>>7352735
Try stretching out how often you wash it, dry shampoo if needed, oil will weigh your hair down and washing it more frequently encourages more oil production. For volume, I blow dry my roots initially with my head upside down, then with a little bit of lift/back combing using a round brush (if you have oil problems, let it partly air dry then blow dry on low heat or cool)

You can always try a wig first or something if you're scared to take the plunge. Honestly though, you only live once and I'd say just do it, worst situation you can dye it darker anyhow.

My hair is exactly the color in the picture and just about an inch shorter, and i found that the purple/silver shampoo was contributing more to the dryness than the actual bleaching. I ceased using the shampoo, and instead use a toner/conditioner mixture when i need to refresh the color. In the meantime, I picked up some Nutrogena dandruff shampoo and it helped quite a bit!

speaking of white hair, does anyone know where to get white extensions? I do NOT want #613 - it's always way way too dark and yellow. Any links or brands would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I tried that dye. My hair was bleach blonde and it only dyed my roots. The rest was ash blonde. It was terrible. I mix my own gray dye now.

I hadn't thought about the wig option, even though I cosplay... I'll definitely try that, thanks!

>>7355308
I've heard that you had to get your hair really white/silverish with barely any yellow remaining. I have asian hair, so I'm kind of iffy about how I'd take care of my hair and make it so white without heavily damaging it, especially because I'd do all the bleaching myself. Overall, I heard blue was one of the hardest colors to achieve, but to be honest if I did go for the color I'd just take my chance and try my best. Any tips? I'd appreciate anything.

>>7355327
I'll keep the darker blue in mind! I think I'll definitely try and go for blue as soon as I have some time on my hands.

Light blues are bloody hard, dark blues not so much. If you want dark blue and go for something like directions midnight blue or sfx blue velvet, yellow blonde will be okay (just not awful Asian ginger). Midnight blue will fade very green on yellow tuned hair but sfx blue velvet is very purple toned so essentially dyes and tones somewhat. Directions plum also fades out very blue, it was pretty much blue and teal on my yellow blond Asian hair by the eighth wash

If your doing you hair at home; wash your hair a good fifteen minutes after you finish. You can also buy a special treatment that halts any residual action. Bleach is hard to rinse completely out.

Tone down your developer. 10 or 20 is often times usable on virgin root regrowth.

Use a vinegar rinse for the same purpose as a pH treatment.

Do a test swab on the inside of your arm before you lighten next time, 48 hours before hand.

Bleach can cause nasty chemical burns but is much more unlikely to spur a deadly reaction. You most likely had a small pimple or a break in the skin (sunburn even) and burnt the heck out of it, I've done this before. It can take awhile to heal but you really only need medicine if it covers a large area or is 'deep'.

If you've been using dye to lighten your hair though, like a 8 through 10 dye or a high lift dye, then you could very well be developing a severe allergy with dermatitis as a symptom. The deadly kind of reaction.

Only a doctor can tell you though.

why would they run together when you wash it?

when you put in hair dye, it attaches to the shaft of the hair and shouldn't just be randomly coming off on things. sure, it washes out in the shower but that's not enough time or dye to comingle with the rest of the hair

>it washes out in the shower but that's not enough time or dye to comingle with the rest of the hair
Not only that, but hair dye is only active for 45 minutes at the most, so once you've let the dye sit enough to wash your hair at all it won't even stick anymore.

>> No.7357236

So, I just came back from the hair salon, and I think the stylist gave me chemical burns from bleaching my hair...during the bleaching my scalp was burning and I told her about it and she said it was normal, but it was burning a ton, and then it started when she put the dye in as well, I basically started crying. Now it's really tender to the touch and feels hot, and I have some weird puss or something sticking my hair together in clumps. It's really awful and I have no idea what to do. Should I call her and tell her about it? This seems like it's a really bad thing.

Firstly, full refund, nothing less. This is the equivalent to finding a finger in your meal at a restaurant. Secondly, you need to get medical attention. Untreated chemical burns can leave you with bald spots and they're at high risk for infection if they're open sores.

Well, really you shouldn't have paid in the first place but I suppose that can't really be helped now. I'd go back after visiting the doctors so you can tell them exactly how much damage they've done and so you have some more proof.

Like one of those people with a "Um, no actually the sky is PINK, my mom told me", simply because they refuse to be wrong type of attitude.

That reminds me of during the ANTM cycle where the girl had her whole head bleached and was crying and they were saying it was normal and all bleached blondes knew that pain.
Like... no.

I went to the doctor today and she actually advised me to sue the salon, they apparently should have insurance to cover such a stupid mishap. She also was pretty horrified because I have open blisters all over my scalp and a few pieces of my hair is falling out. I got documentation and I'm going to the salon tomorrow or monday to get their insurer info. I also got prescribed a mild burn creme and I can't put anything other than mild shampoo and conditioner in my hair for 2-3 weeks. I also have to go back to see her in 3 weeks to get checked for infection.
