I'm still in the fandom. I don't do stupid shit. I try to keep away from the stupid shit as much as possible.

I do not talk about it in public or cons. The people left in the fandom are less insane then back in the day, you still have people like her pop up once awhile. You avoid them. That behavior isn't acceptable.

I am inclined to agree she likely has mental issues of some sort. There is probably a reason for this behavior ior, but unless she seeks professional help I doubt she will get better.

If it's any consolation that amount of OMG KILL RELENA WITH FIRE is mostly non-existent at this point. No one really cares anymore what pairings you like or whatever. We acknowledge the show had a lot of flaws and is FAR from perfect. It's not like there are too many people in the fandom left anyway. Though we are seeing a really small resurgence of fans due to people going back and re-watching the show because they remember it as a kid.

By your definition I suppose I'm more in the fan category as I don't write fanfics or RP or anything. I interact with other fans online and collect odds and ends, and a few fandomy things here and there. And seeing as I do not have the body of a 15/16 year boy, cosplay of characters from the show is totally out of the picture.

Actually- personal experience as one until I noped out of it- a lot of Relena fans were just as bad as the shippers, just in a totally opposite direction and some to the point of full on homophobia. It's like how when you have a tiny island of liberalism as a reaction against a super conservative area, or vice versa.

Timeline of batshit fujioshi over the past 15 years pretty much goes like this:
