Let's talk about how we dress when we're not in cosplay or Lolita.

-What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita? (Or for cosplayers, when you're not in cosplay)
-Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
-What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
-Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes?
-Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?

-What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita? (Or for cosplayers, when you're not in cosplay)
mostly black knit clothes. normalfag shit. sometimes I can sneak in some ETC. I like dresses over black leggings, I wear that a lot.

-Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
it's not cohesive but has different themes, i.e. like a few groups of typical sweet dresses/skirts of one color or color scheme that can be coorded with the same accessories, and some old school stuff.

-What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
I wish I woke up earlier to fix myself up a little every day. Makeup used to be a passion of mine, now I don't care very much and look kind of dumpy going out because classes and work = very tired.

-Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes?
Not cosplay, but ETC/otome stuff that passes for normalfag? Yeah.

-Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
It's not that I don't care at all about my appearance, it's that I'll only put a lot of effort into my normalfag appearance when I'm going to be around people I know or going to something that I feel requires that I look more presentable. I'm in uni so it's a struggle just to keep up with all my work, my clothes can come second.

> tfw want to wear MM and JetJ but too big even if lose all weight to bones.
> Need to find more cute every-day clothes that are still polished and professional.

> Of lolita, sometimes, but not often.

-What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita?

Normalfag/goth shit. I always try to look well-presented, though.

-Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?

I'd say it's fairly cohesive, I definitely have a set "style" outside of lolita, but I couldn't tell you the name for it.

-What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?

I'd like to work with a more gothic style on both counts. And more accessories.

-Do you sometimes wear pieces of your lolita with 'normal' clothes?

Just brand accessories, and occasionally I'll wear one of my IW JSKs with no/a very little petti for an otome-ish look.

-Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?

Not at all, I always try to look nice and I haven't left the house without makeup in years.

>What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita?
Toned down gothic, feminine, florals and preppy. Also vintage band shirts. I really like leg wear, boots especially Dr.Martens and Mary Janes.
>Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
Semi cohesive I would imagine as a lot of things can be mixed together.
>What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
I'd like to have more basics for both my normal wardrobe and lolita. I'd also like to own more shoes especially heels (or heeled items) as I own very something like the Bordello Whimsey boot, VW x Melissa three strap or three strap bow or Fluevogs.
It'd be nice to have a more elegant wardrobe with some aristocrat pieces thrown in too. Instead of just AATP prints, an Atelier Pierrot bustle skirt or Moitie. Rather than just I.W, Mary Magdalene or Victorian Maiden.

>Do you sometimes wear items of lolita with 'normal' clothes?
I wear my BTSSB heart bag out a lot, sometimes stockings or otk socks and occasionally a skirt.

>Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
I very much used to be but I'm starting to care a little more.

>What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita? (Or for cosplayers, when you're not in cosplay)
Mostly sweaters and dresses, with tights. I love legwear and shoes lot. When I'm not going out I wear pajama pants and hoodies.

>Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
Aside from a few random things my wardrobe looks like it belongs to one person. It's mostly dark colors or jewel tones, and lacks any print.

>What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
I wish I was less focused on comfort. I own a lot of nice things that I never wear because I don't like the texture of them. I also wish I was a little more adventurous with clothing, because my style is really boring.

>Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes?
Only accessories. Socks, jewelry, gloves, and shoes that were purchased for costumes usually get worn outside of them.

>Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
It depends on the day. No matter how crap I was feeling, I would never wear pajama pants out of the house or clothing that didn't match. Some days I can't be bothered to do my hair or makeup, but that's rare.I like putting on makeup and getting dressed up, so most of the time i'm the most made up person in a room.

What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita? (Or for cosplayers, when you're not in cosplay)
A lot of black. I'm not goth, but pretty much everything I own outside of lolita is black, if it didn't come in black I'l get the darkest color. I like fashion and dresses. I don't get to wear my good stuff much right now because of a shitty retail job with a uniform, that and its -5 out right now. I pretty much live in black skinnies and sweaters right now. I am getting in Gyaru so I'll have fun clothes to wear when I am not in lolita, I'm thrilled I'll have a chance to wear all my shoes

-Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
Well its pretty much all black, so that kind of cohesive.

-What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
With lolita, I want more old school stuff, regular wise I want to get AP mini skirts to wear with my normal clothes, some new jewelry- mostly vivienne westwood stuff. New heels, tights and a bag. I've been ignoring my regular wardrobe, and now things need to be replaced.

-Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes? I don't cosplay, but I do wear some lolita pieces with my normal clothes.
.

-Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
Yes. I care a lot actually. Unfortunately I am living somewhere were no one else cares, so that makes it difficult to put in the effort. But I am working on it. I am sick of looking like scrub all the time. I have nice clothes and I want to wear them.

-What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita? (Or for cosplayers, when you're not in cosplay)
Think Audrey Hepburn meets old lady. Idk. I'd like for the "old lady" part not to be there, but sometimes it's too cold to dress otherwise (I live in Finland).
-Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
It's pretty cohesive, there's only brown, navy blue and white stuff there atm. Some red and green. People tell me I dress too conservative, but that's how I like it, idk.
-What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
-Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes?
-Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
Somewhat. At home or school I dress very plainly but otherwise I have planned outfits.

>> No.7323918

My wardrobe is kind of all over the place in that I have things that match, but the style is veeery different. Some days, I dress very cute, some days kind of hipstery, some days punk. It really depends on my mood and how much effort I'm wanting to put into my appearance that day. I need to go shopping, though; I'm ready for a style overhaul.

Occasionally, I'll wear cosplay pieces that aren't really obviously not "real" clothing, like some jewelry or skirts and sometimes wigs. I care that I look nice and like to look a little outrageous from time to time, but I don't have one look that represents me.

-What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita?
>Cute things? Predominantly floral dresses and skirts - I pretty much never wear trousers, less than 5 times a year? I prefer black, navy and jewel tones for both wardrobes. I think my normal clothes have a vintage look - I'm a massive fan of faux fur scarves.

-Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?

>What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita? (Or for cosplayers, when you're not in cosplay)
I prefer gothic lolita. Outside of that, I wear a variety of stuff. Sometimes gothic gyaru-inspired clothes, sometimes something Stevie Nicks might wear, sometimes drapey layers of black, especially in winter. My go-to outfit is black skinny jeans, chinky black heels and a tee-shirt. I wear shit like that 3 wolf moon shirt unironically if that gives you any indication of my tastes.

When I'm at work, I just wear stuff you would expect a kindergarten teacher to wear.

>Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
Kind of. I wish it were more so. Most of it is black so most of it goes alright together.

>What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
I want to weed out the shit I don't wear anymore and buy better pieces that fit my current style. And wear more witch-y and fantasy-inspired things.

I think it works together because I can mix some of my work clothing with casual weekend things

>What would you like to change about your style?
I would love to buy a whole new wardrobe of things like they do on those makeover shows, but something else always seems to pop up and require that money.

>Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes?
Several of my more casual costumes involve hoodies which make great "chilling around the house" things

>Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
I care, just not about following the latest trend. I aim for classic style which can be worn much longer. As mentioned above, I'd love to revamp everything or inject my collection with some new pieces but things keep popping up e.g. emergency vet bills for my dog etc. so I just buy a few new things when I see them and toss a few older ones.

That said, I live in the middle of nowhere and it's really hard to shop clothing when you are not a teen or a grandma. I end up buying a lot online which yields mixed results since you can't try things on. Anyone else feel like their area is lacking in stores with clothing for the 20+ crowd?

>What kind of clothing do you like to wear outside of Lolita? (Or for cosplayers, when you're not in cosplay)
most days of the week my work uniform (pantsuit), on days off jeans and screened tees and hoodies and sneakers. in the summertime maybe a sun dress.
>Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
looks like any typical 20something college student in jeans and tshirt. sometimes I wish I kept it more together, but I tend to buy shirts in colors I like, so just mainly golds and greens and teal and purple and black. I don't think I could make a full wardrobe from those colors alone, so maybe tshirts are for the best. Also I'm messy and spill things on my shirts, I'd be heartbroken is it was fancy and I ruined it

>Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes?
no I just have my tshirts. some are anime related, but I save those for special days.
>Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
I actually have makeup as one of my primary hobbies, and want to get better at it, maybe extra special effects makeup skills would be good to use, makeup advice is what led me to this as a hobby I guess. and this is all weird because I only wear makeup 3 days a week at work, otherwise only if I know there will be cameras around me for like a group outing or whatever. I love it but I get so beat down from work I do it less now ... sad

pic attached is how I wish I would do my makeup all the time in my free time (work makeup I usually only do natural looking stuff), but I am unmotivated usually and I only have me to blame for that. (this was my halloween makeup)

Lots and lots of black and grey. Kinda tomboyish and inspired by male k-fashion I guess? It worked better when my hair was really short about a year ago.

>Is your wardrobe what some would call 'cohesive' (IE a bunch of different styles that seem to go together) or is it more of a hodge podge?
Literally half of my closet is my dark-colored regular clothes, other half is my light colored lolita clothes. Sometimes I don't know why I got into sweet/classic instead of gothic, but I just like cute colors to go with cute clothes I guess.

>What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
I'm currently trying to grow out my hair so I can work in my lolita stuff and move towards generally more feminine styles. It's kind of hard to move on though because actually dressing girly takes more work than throwing on pants and a ton of layers and calling it a day.

>Do you sometimes wear pieces of your cosplay with 'normal' clothes?
a lot of the characters I cosplay wear bright. bold colors that I would never normally wear so no.

>Are you the type who doesn't care about fashion/style/self-presentation at all outside of your hobbies?
I care a lot about style even if it's a "lazy" day for me. Whether it's actually successful or not, I have no idea. I don't wear makeup or do anything special with my hair daily, just nice enough so I don't look like the loser I was in highschool.

Emo-sceney-grunge crap under eight jumpers, or two onesies layered for days straight.

Hodge podge, everything from himekaji to cybergoth plus lots of office wear for the office job I've never had.

>What would you like to change about your style Lolita or otherwise?
I'd like to wear some of the awesome stuff I have rather than the same messy hair with grungey grey plaid trousers I always throw on, but I'm always running late and it's too cold to wear most of my things here. I'd like to look edgier too, without an inch of eyeliner I feel so drab.
