copy pasting from my other topic

I wear lolita during the winter since that's the only time the weather is cold enough to survive in it.

My parents, no matter how many times I've explained it to them are absolutely certain that it's some kind of weird sexual deviant thing and not a just something I wear.

I don't consider myself a crossdresser or weird in anyway gender-wise, like I'd never just wear ordinary women's clothes, my interest in female clothing is entirely lolita. In fact to me lolita clothes doesn't really feel "female" at all.

I feel very alone because all the other male lolitas and "brolitas" I've seen have been into it for fetish or some other unsavory reason.

Are there any other boys out there who are actually JUST into it for the fashion, or am I really all alone here ;;

You're probably on your own.. If you wear lolita and are a boy you are a crossdresser..

I love lolita as a fashion but I'm transgender so I still don't fit any of your definitions.

Problem I have is finding the right prints. I'm 36a chest and pretty much confined to wearing a JSK with shirring.

Can never get into a OP because of Man shoulders.

Any suggestions for new prints welcome!

My boyfriend only does lolita as far as "crossdressing" goes, but he doesn't really tell anyone about it.

In fact, I think the only people who really know are his best friend, myself, and him. He doesn't do it for sexual reasons, he just really likes the way it looks.

In fact, I'm trying to get some Kodona together for myself so I can be his prince.

For some reason, I find this really adorable.

>> No.7319922

>>7319875
There are a lot of OPs and JSKs that have full shirring throughout the neckline and straps, such as btssb Dessert OP. Something like that may accommodate shoulders a lot better, or generaly just make for a better fit. I am tall, so the shoulder shirring helps me a lot because I can pull the dress down to wear I would like it to sit, instead of where it would naturally, therefore lengthening it.
As far as finding the "right" prints, can you give me an idea of what you're looking for? Or in this case, what has made a print 'wrong' to you?

I tend to stay away from anything sweet. Whilst I do like the style I am far too worried about people confusing it with sissy (an issue with the trans thing and something I really don't want to be associated with)

So I tend to lean more towards gothic. I had vampire requiem but gave it away to my ex. I am thinking of MMM cathedral as my next purchase

Pic obviously isn't lolita but is me - it's what I've got to work with :p

I think you'd suit Moitie really well. In the least possibly offensive way you have a mature looking face with high cheekbones which is the best look for that brand- I find it's hard to pull the Moitie look off if you're cute and youthful unless you're very oldschool about it. I'm unsure about how the sizing would be for you, though OP's ought to be fine?

Wow do they look great! I'm still new to EGL (Although I have been wanting to get into it for a while) so I love looking at photos of brolitas who are putting a lot of effort into their coordinates and hair/makeup.

>>7319627

I'd consider myself more of a brolita than a crossdresser, as like you I'm really only interested in Lolita - Although I do want to someday crossplay Touhou. I'm actually shocked at how a lot of brolitas just look like absolute crap.

From my own experiences, one nice aspect of lolita for me is it's a good impetus to continuously stay in shape and exercise. At my office my coworkers are amazed at how committed I am towards fitness but little do they know what one of my biggest reasons why is.

I've also picked up some good skincare habits from reading the daiily skincare threads that pop up here from time to time.

>>7320064

I'm planning on building my wardrobe completely in the direction of gothic and classic. There's no chance in hell I would wear sweet nor do I think I'd look good in it. Even for classic I prefer darker pieces and coordinates.

This Sunday I'm picking up my btssb LP in black from their SF store which I'm totally stoked for.

>> No.7320370

>>7320346
Fuck yeah, gothic brolitas. Are you in the SF area usually? If you're looking to make brolita friends- we do have one trans, which isn't the same, I know, but she passes amazingly and you might feel less lonely with a comm, anyway!

Unfortunately, we also have Melissa, which is the worst example of a brolita you can present, fetishes included.

>Can't buy second-hand because that'd be really creepy wearing a female's former clothes

>Have a far shorter time frame to actually be a neato brolita until the 20's really kick in and mess you up
>'those' brolitas only imagined in horror stories give a lot of brolitas a bad repute.
>Reception is typically hostile to brolitas unless you can coord really well and / or resemble a female when you do

Still worth it. Even learning about petticoats and makeup is worth it for conversation or general knowledge.

I guess you just don't find badly looking (supposedly) grown men dressed into fetish-bait fashion as unusual as me.
So we have fuck-ups who for whatever reason want to get into not just any fashion but one of the most fucked-up fashions (if it can be called that). That's fucked-up squared. Adding the sissy angle takes it up a notch to fucked-up cubed.
Brolitas are just one more thing to add to the ever expanding list of creepy shit (which includes but is not limited to age-play, diaper fetish, living dolls, whoring out for pocket change for "burando" - the list goes on and on) hidden beneath those petticoats.
I don't think that above holds for the majority of lolitas, but you and people like you - who indulge in all the creepy shit mentioned above - made it far harder to look past all of that. It's just easier to recoil in disgust.
