Not the worst thing ever but at Kumoricon there's balconies on the hotel that overlook a huge park where cosplayers hang out. There was a dude and a Stocking cosplayer up there and the guy was flipping people off and shouting shit at cosplayers

It's obnoxious as hell and takes up a ton of space, making it difficult for other cosplayers to squeeze around them. I always get really nervous being near that thing because I've heard stories of people getting mobbed suddenly and having pieces of their costumes or props broken. Ive seen the circle sick themselves on an outsider and it's scary. And the only people who participate in it are smelly weebs and socially awkward asshats anyway; not people I want to touch, let alone hug.

I had my bag stolen at a con. My cellphone, my id, and some money inside. While I was looking for it around 4 or 5 guys asked me a for a pic. I couldn't say to them "sorry no pics" and even if I was really annoyed by them at the moment I did my best effort to smile in the pics and was nice to them. They even helped me to look for the bag.

Worst thing I've experienced was a photographer being a complete asshole during a private photoshoot I had scheduled with him. He was basically turning into a douchenugget because I wasn't cosplay famous and started comparing me to them (basically saying I didn't compare). The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth and I wasn't surprised when he decided to not contact me about the second photoshoot for a different costume I had scheduled with him the next day then avoided my calls. After this, I'm only doing them with photographers that I'm close friends with. I only went with this guy because my friends were busy with other cosplayers and I liked this guy's work. Not fucking anymore since he turned out to be one of those photographers just trying to buddy up with popular cosplayers. Worst photoshoot experience I've ever had at a convention... all that hard work put into that costume for only 1 fucking unflattering photo.

Once, while I was cosplay a cute, moe type character, a guy asked for a hug. He didn't look sweaty or smell bad, so I went in for a quick hug. Suddenly, four of his obese buddies circled around us and joined in a group hug with me in the middle, and then they all started thrusting their pelvises at me. I had to elbow two of them in the sides while clawing my way out to make them get off me. Disgusting.

Other than that, one year at A-Kon, the fire alarm was pulled, but for some reason it kept going off over and over on my floor for HOURS. It was annoying, but I was fine just giving the desk a ring and asking for it to be fixed and for a discount on the room for all the sleep we weren't getting, but two of my friends were gigantic bitches about it the entire next day.

Sore losers starting bitchy rumors when they didn't win the cosplay contest and dealing with a grown ass woman in a shitty OC crying about how unfair it all was. Co-judge throwing a hissy fit when I wouldn't agree with their choices (so I'd cave on something I didn't like, and then, surprise, we got hit with criticism for picking a not-so-great outfit to win), treating me poorly when people came to me with problems instead of them because I'm outgoing, and putting all the blame on me when a big thing went wrong when I was the only one to even attempt to fix the problem. Single worst con experience, never judging a cosplay contest ever again if I can help it.

Ugly bad cosplayers who think they're the shit and just rip on everyone they see. Like holy shit, they have no room to talk. Pic related my "friend" and his girlfriend in steampunk and "lolita" respectively. She was being worse than him, she went up to a group of lolis and told them how cute they all looked and that 'she was a loli too!' and then came back over to me and my friends and said how they were just rich bitches saying fake and ugly they looked and they weren't real lolitas like "us"(I was wearing all brand at the time) and he chimed in about how people in the steampunk community are mean to people who buy stuff and were bullying him into making his own outfit.

It was just sad to watch, it's like the worst looking worst dressed people spew the most shit.

First time at Otakon (2008), a friend of mine had bought lunchables and didn't put it in a fridge/keep it cool all day. We got there hella early and ended up waiting in the hot ass sun for 4 hours until we realized we were all in the wrong line and we skipped over to the pre reg line.

Speaking of this, my fiance did a really good cosplay this last convention and all fucking evening this guy in his halloween store costume kept "photo bombing" his photos. By "photobombing" I mean, he followed him around the floor and when my fiance would get a photo, he would like...stand there...posing, expecting the person to take his photos too. THEN he would push his way INTO the photos. This happened for like 5/10 minutes. Then, someone in a similar costume (although less impressive quality) started doing the same. The worst thing ever for me is when conventions decide to hold big events like pub quizzes in the student union. You are not going to fit 250 attendees in there, let alone 1000+, and how many people in the room actually want to take part? And there's always some girl in a leggy costume taking up two seats because she puts her feet up on chairs. It's rude and unhygienic!

I also hate it when I visit /cgl/ and find that loads of threads or posts that I've found interesting or informative have mysteriously disappeared.

My worst con experience was the first PAX I went to. I'd stupidly tried hitting on someone and was rejected so I felt like a creeper for trying, and then the next morning I got socked with a major migraine and still had to face this person and apologize for my behavior and try to salvage what I could while everything was in a thick fog and my head was trying to pop itself like a pimple. I managed to not pass out or throw up in public, but I did break down sobbing to my bestie later on when she bought me coffee because my emotional balance was so messed up and I couldn't control myself. As a rape victim myself I would have loved for someone to try to tell me how to prevent getting myself in a bad situation because then it probably wouldn't have happened. We do this with everything, if this were the wrong tactic we wouldn't have contraception or even teach people about how to not get STDs and that would be dangerous.
