I dunno, I guess if someone is really unhappy with their looks they should go for it.
Otherwise, when I look at Kpop stars I honestly think they all look like they came out of the same factory or something. I wouldn't want to go that way.

As far as cosmetic surgery goes, I want to remove a beauty mark above my lip. I went to see a dermatologist for it, and she told me it would leave a big ugly scar. Is there a way to remove it without scarring?

>> No.7296042

>>7296032

I've gotten a few moles removed (my dad was super paranoid about skin cancer back when it was the hot new disease), and I've always been left with scarring. They were mostly on my neck but the most prominent one is this one I had to get three stitches for right below my clavicle. There's now a bump around a cm wide. It's not noticeable until you look closely, but it would be quite prominent on the face (and that was a relatively small mole).

I don't see how with all its advances cosmetic surgery could not have some sort of technique for reducing scarring. Maybe you could research into that and see what they say?

>> No.7296052

>>7296032
Is it flat against the skin and just discoloration, or is it a bump? Also depends on the side. Small moles they can shave off no problem, larger ones might leave a scar, and discoloration can be helped with a laser

I paid 5000€ for my nose job and it was the best decision I ever made.
I broke my nose when I was 17 and was constantly insecure. I had a list of 5 or 6 procedures I wanted done and started to save up for. I thought my nose job would just be step number one and I wouldn't go out in public or date again until I had all these procedures.

Turned out that after fixing my broken nose, I magically regained my calm and was simply happy with who I was.
Now I think the things I wanted done are fucking ridiculous.
Two years after my nose job I'm 100% sure I won't go under the knife again.

I really recommend just getting that ONE PROCEDURE you really want and then see if it calms your craziness.
It certainly did for me.

The job market is so saturated that literally girls get hired for how beautiful they are (since all the applicants would be equally qualified), meaning that if you`re "average", chances are, you`ll be working a low-paying job or none at all.

Although yeah, that bitch does look ugly both before and after lol.

Most top tier surgeons in the Phillipines would have trained elsewhere such as Australia or the UK, so it's not exactly expertise that's the problem. The real issue is the maintenance of a good sterile environment before, after, and post op so you won't get infection, and the lack of supplies and equipment that you can encounter in less affluent countries.

If there were two surgeons who both studied at Cambridge, did residencies in Mayo Clinic, and fellowships at Mass Gen, then one went back to Singapore and the other to the Phillipines, I would still go to Singapore because they're much more likely to have a colluding team, sterile facilities, and the tools necessary to give me the treatment to the best of their ability.

Friends tell me I don't need a pretty face because I'm a very good person (and blah blah blah...) but in our conversations, they are always talking about beautiful people, and guys only talks how pretty are my friends.
Even if I'm the better person, without a pretty face, I'll never...
You know, you can see someone with good personality, kind, etc... but if is ugly, you will never be a...

So I became obssesed more and more.
While I save money for take plastic surgery on my face, I became obsessed with other things of me: hair, weight... I'm 167 cm long and my weight its 105 pounds, but I'm obssesed to be skinnier.
I hurt myself everyday. I not want to kill me because I fear of death, and I not want to die, I just deserve it.

I hope plastic surgery never exists.

I just have this idea that in a few years after some crazy plastic surgery epidemic, on the grounds that everyone looks the fucking same, squarejaw will be back in and everyone will be screwed, leaving the few that didn't go under the knife laughing. Sure the trends will be back round again in a decade or so, by which time all the original surgically enhanced triangles will have committed suicide and / or feel too old and have given up anyway.

Hmm, there's several procedures I'd like to get done because I'm vain as fuck. Though I've no hope of them ever actually happening because it's all expensive as fuck, but it's still nice to dream. Besides, I'm not sure if it's worth getting one thing done when there is a bunch of other things that could use work, and the change will not be too drastic. Another candidate for mole surgery here.

How big a scar are we talking? My worst two are maybe .5 a centimetre across at most, probably closer to .3 but I'm being careful. My GP recommended a place I could get excision for them, as she said they can't be lasered or w/e which means they're gonna slice me up, right?
Both these fucking cunt ass things are on my face and have caused the majority of the bullying and name calling that has ever happened to me.
I had one on my neck and I burned it off, would not recommend. Did it to a tiny one under my nose too. The scar is near gone but sort of very slightly raised, so it really doesn't look any better.

There's only a few things I'd want to do, but they're primarily for quality of life improvements, not to cover insecurities.

Despite the fact that it's for a fucking medical condition, insurance companies consider the surgery for pectus excavatum (pic related) a cosmetic surgery, so there's that. I don't know if they'd be able to do anything about mine, though, because my bones have solidified by now and it's off to the side.

Rhinoplasty. Mostly to fix my deviated septum, but I'd probably get it shaved down a bit, too. An ex of mine had his shortened when he went to get his deviated septum fixed.

One of my ears sticks out through my hair and it's really annoying. I can't count how many times I've hit it with curlers and straighteners. I figure getting that fixed would be pretty easy.

I was considering tits, mostly if I can't fix my PE. One of my breasts sinks into my dent so no bras, no matter how much padding, will ever fit me properly. I have broken down and cried in dressing rooms when shopping for bathing suits when I was younger because of how not a single top I could find worked with my condition. Only problem is I'd have to keep going back to get them touched up, and I'm not really a fan of that idea.

Man, if I were rich and surgery was guaranteed to give perfect results I would do so much.
Smaller, thinner nose. Lip injections. Fix my uneven eyebrows. Maybe an eyelift? Anything to make them look bigger. Something to make my jaw/lower half of face thinner. Fix my cleft chin. No more double chin. Fat suction in certain spots. Boob job. Something to make my legs thinner...

So sick of being the ugly friend. Of course you're going to tell me I look just fine, you look good all the fucking time while I'm sitting here looking like a walrus.

I want to get my jawline and chin reshaped, get a nose job to give me more of a button nose and put a bit more definition on the bridge of my nose, and to do something to make my eyes bigger.

Also I have a bit of a weak chin and want a tiny implant, and my lips don't naturally close when my mouth is in rested/relaxed position. So I'm a mouth breather unless I remember to force close my mouth and make a conscious effort to keep it closed. Because of these when I close my lips, I get mentalis strain (lip strain) on my chin (dimpling of the chin muscles). So I want to get all that fixed too.

I want to look in the mirror and not even recognise myself because I look so much better.

Thanks guys.

It really isn't that I'm dissatisfied with how I look, which seems to be the reason most people get plastic surgery, it's that some of these flaws are just a major inconvenience.

I have trouble breathing with my deviated septum, I keep burning my ear that sticks out, bras and swim tops don't fit, limited stamina due to my ribs compressing my lung on one side.

>If bras and stuff don't work on you and shirts don't fit you though should get your pectus excavatum fixed but don't get a boob job.
Yeah, like I said the boob job would only happen if I was willing to do the upkeep and if I absolutely couldn't get the PE fixed normally.

When you're young, your bones are more malleable. One of the primary surgeries for PE involves sticking metal bars under your ribs and then turning them to pop your sternum out. Since mine is off to the side and I'm nearly 25, I can't imagine this procedure working very well.

>> No.7297379

>>7297363
I imagine PE surgery would be pretty major at 25 and moreso considering that it's off to one side. You'd essentially need the bones to be broken and rewired/plated in the "correct" place, plus I'm guessing all your important bits have adjusted to the current position of your sternum so even with correction there probably wouldn't be a guarantee of your exercise tolerance improving, and then of course there's the post op risk with infection etc. That being said, I don't see why not to get it if you can.

I have breath implants. They are maybe 3 years old now.
Probably one of the most painful things I have ever gone through. I had to get them placed under the muscle and not over. (The recovery time for over is crazy fast but you sacrifice the ability to breast feed and they can look a little different.)
About a week of my life I do not remember because of the amount of meds I was on for pain.

If I would do it over again. You bet your frilly ass I would. Best decision ever. I am in love with them. I did not go crazy with my size. I wear a 32 C and am about 105 lbs. before I was 100% flat. I did not even own a bra.

Because my starting size was so small they had to go under my breast and not around my nipples / arm pits. They also needed to use silicone for a better "look" silicone has come a long way now. If it busts it won't leak out. Think of them like a gummy bear now. If they somehow rupture nothing will leak into you. they are 100% safe and give you the tier drop boob look instead of the fake looking circle.

I can't express how happy I am with my decision on getting them. It took me about 16 months to save up for them. (I took a little out of each paycheck.) Worth every penny!

Yes it does, it depends on your amount of squish as to how much reduction you'll get. I don't know what you mean by harmful, though, corseting shouldn't ever be harmful to you regardless if weight as long as you take the appropriate steps to be safe, like lacing too tight too soon and putting pressure on nerves (usually due to ill during corsets)
I can get my natural waist of 24" to 20" with a corset, if that helps give an idea. I'm about 115lb at the moment, so my natural waist is more like 26" currently, but can still be laced down to 22" easily. I don't usually wear a corset but am comfortable like that for about 5 hours (in the same way that wearing tight denim jeans is comfortable - the fit is firm and you can't expect to be doing anything super strenuous, but it doesn't hurt me)
I will stress though that you must listen to your body when you put a corset on. Teeny amounts of bad pressure (e.g on your ribs or spine) or bits that sort of dig in will turn into lots of bad pressure, possibly bruises, if you leave your corset on and try to ignore them. Fit is crucial! Read lucycorsetry's blog for a good introduction.

See the thing with corsets is they have more permanent effect when theres fat in the midsection to shape. People don't know this but fat DOES shift places hence why theres stuff like migrating breast tissue etc.

If you have little fat in your midsection you'll have less fat to displace to create the hourglass. So a corset may help you create a shape while wearing, but it won't train you far.

Yeah, the most pain in the ass thing is that the hospital where a burn victim ex of mine was offered to spend his rehab time at does the surgery for free to anyone under 18.

I had just turned 18 when I heard about this.

The problem is, like I mentioned in the original post, insurance companies consider it a cosmetic surgery except for the extremely life threatening cases, so if I were to get surgery I would have to pay out of my own pocket. By the time I can afford it, I'll probably be in my 30s and the surgery will hold even more of a risk.

My mom first discovered it when I was 12, but every pediatrician we went to was either "hurr what's that?" or just took one glance and ignored it. Since it's on one side, you can't tell how deep it is because it's covered by breast tissue, but I can actually grab onto the side of my rib cage.

I think Bom went a bit too far in her surgeries.

My theory is that at first she did a bit of subtle work on her face (maybe even just eye surgery). Then with her medical problem which bloats her face, it kind of disturbed her face "harmony" and maybe made her surgeries more noticeable or displaced (i.e. possible chin implant). Afterwards she probably went under the knife several times to fix it and clearly went overboard.
Her nose looks weird now and was ok before all of it. Only the eye surgery really made her prettier IMO.

It's not a trend in the usual sense though, in that it's been and gone within a season or even something that mirror's economic trends such as the boom in retro and vintage styling (which is already waning and has lasted for several years). I think it's a 'trend' with the staying power of perhaps a decade or so - there's already hints that 'cute girl idol' looks are shifting towards a slightly more traditional, womanly, less 'Eurasian cute' type appearance. I honestly think a backlash at some stage is inevitable.

I meant to add that I don't think people are just absent-mindedly jumping on the bandwagon either, the perception of what is considered beautiful has shifted, which in turn slowly and almost insidiously influences public perception and no one is immune to it. You only need to look at historical paintings of 'beauties' across different eras to see how the concept of beauty has shifted. They loved 'weak round chins' in the early 17th century for example.

Oh man I actually have a kid plastic surgery story. One of my friends was telling me about how all of the asians in his area get plastic surgery.
Right outside of school this good looking guy married his really hot girlfriend who he was dating for a few years, and they had a kid. The kid was super ugly, turns out, the wife had plastic surgery when she was younger. She showed him pictures of her when she was a kid and apparently she was pretty hideous.
He divorced her and pretty much disowned his kid, he was so pissed she never told him about her plastic surgery before they had a child. He didn't want an ugly kid.

If someone tells you that you might change your mind when your older, don't scoff at them because chances are you will. I don't care what you say, but I've seen it happen with multiple friends (old!fag anon here, I'm in my 30s).

If you genuinely want to have a child to love and nurture, I have zero problems with you because you'd be a responsible parent. My reason for not having any is that my family is a horrible web of bad genetics (diabetes, heart disease, etc.) on both sides. I'm the poster of >>7297939. I'm 29 and have never felt my feelings weakening on not wanting children. It's only become stronger since age 15 (when I decided to consider not having kids).

And what about how dismissive and rude people who do want kids become to those of us who don't want kids. We get looked at like we have two heads, get called selfish, told we'll never know what it's like to truly love someone or to be a selfless person (like having children makes you Mother Teresa all of a sudden, or no childfree person ever has done humanitarian acts of kindness), that our life will have no meaning or true joy without a child in it, say our lives and time aren't as important as theirs because we don't have children we have to take care of, assume we all just stay out and drink and party all night only to go to work the next day hung over, and there are even other women that say they wouldn't trust a woman for no other reason than because she choose not to have children. Yes these are all things that A LOT of childfree people get told by people who want/have children.

There's two sides to every coin, and a lot of people who want kids get just as much of an attitude, are dismissive, and downright rude and line crossing to the childfree. People who want childfree aren't innocent on the judging either.

I'm your generation and I don't want kids.

Whenever people ask me when I'm planning to have kids, they refuse to believe that I may not want children. There's clearly something wrong with me. Or I'll change my mind. It's different when you have one. (Because I want to have a kid to see if I do actually like them!)
And finally, when I say no, no, no, I'm told I'm selfish. Why on earth that is I don't know, it would be awful to raise another child in this world where there's little hope, poor education and dismal prospects of a steady economy, work, etc. I'd say it's more selfish to have a child! I don't know why people have an urge to have children but most people I know want girls to have a little them to dress up. I don't have any maternal feelings at all so I am certain I'm wrong and missing something there though!

Anyway, onto plastic surgery. I'd love to have my nasolabial folds reduced because at the moment I look like Droopy and Margaret Palermo's lovechild. I'm planning on a holiday to Korea so I will see if there's any recommended surgeons closer to the time.

It's not about having kids, my extended family has heaps of children and while they're sometimes annoying pieces of shit for the most part they're nice and well raised because the parents are mature adults with stable jobs and they actually planned it.

It is true some people feel more 'cold' during winter in the face. They also have reports of people becoming more sensitive to hot or cold foods, to the extent of not even being able to eat it. The exact opposite however also happen, some report even completely losing feeling in their jaw area while some report constant pain.

Although all they do is shave the bone they still have to get through the nerves to get there. One accidental poke could leave you a little hypersensitive or sore.

It just depends on your surgeon, where your nerves happen to be and such.

People report the same things from surgeries as benign as wisdom tooth extraction. It's just a chance you take.

Probably not any different from anything this thread hasn't heard before, but I want breast implants.

I've wanted them since I was nine, large breasts, that is. I was an A cup all throughout high school and only obtained 34B breasts this year as a result of a birth control side effect. I was told as a teen that I'd get larger ones, until I found out that my Mother had breast implants all along and just wasn't telling me that it wasn't in the cards for me to get them naturally.

I suppose that I feel like less of a woman for not having large ones. My waist is 22 inches and my hips are 36. If I could just have a large top, I'd be very happy with my overall measurements.. Yet, friends of mine who are large breasted tell me to be thankful and to keep them small.

Botched surgery leading to death is a little misleading... aside from a completely incompetent surgeon severing the wrong blood vessel death most commonly occurs from infection.

Bone marrow in the jaw isn't the same as the kind that produced blood in our chest and such... but there is still a living 'center' to any bone. If they shave too much and accidentally cut into the "living tissue" a very nasty infection can occur.

Having a lowered immune system I've went through a bone infection with staph before and it is very, very painful. Worse, infections in the bone can be incredibly hard to treat as it is much harder to determine the bacteria responsible for the infection. Very few antibiotics work in the bone or blood. Also since the bone doesn't allow for much 'pus' before it'll burst due to lack of room, there's high chances for it to turn to septicemia. Just find a clean hospital.

It's not from being overweight because I've had it since I started developing a unique face, though I'm sure losing weight would decrease its size.
I also want to get my cheeks reduced because I think they're quite chubby, but this is yet another thing people in said Asian country loved.

natural big booby anon here

I have a love-hate relationship with my boobs. On the one hand, they get lots of love for being on the large size. On the other hand, they're super awkward.

If you have itty bitty titties, going without a bra or even having your nipples out a bit is kind of chic and cute. With big walloping balloons, not so much. I have small ribs, but because my boobs are large they cover my ribs and make my torso a weird blob from the front without a bra.

They also get really sore on my period, and walking up and downs stairs is next to unbearable without a bra unless I literally cradle them.

Also they get saggy easier and just generally get in the way.

But natural boobs work different from breast implants, so...

Oh and bras, bathing suits, and tops with fitted busts are a nightmare.

Tiny titty master race, girl.

I used to be really conscious about my chest, but I now realize a few things :

1- I will always have perky tits. When I'm 50, my boobs will still be as perky as they are now, whereas some of these girls will have their nipples hanging at their waist.

2 - a lot of guys don't actually like huge tits /on/ their girl. They like looking at them, sure, but when it comes to handling them, there IS such a thing as too much boob. It's overwhelming and hand-eating. Smaller boobs are also more sensitive, because boobs have the same amount of nerve endings no matter the size.

3 - a lot can go wrong with implants, especially as you age, and it's just not worth it to either look like a fucking freak, or have to have more surgery to have them removed.

4- I DON'T HAVE TO WEAR A BRA. I love it. Never change, boobs <3

Honey, you're 19. You have nothing to be worried about until you turn 40, and even then it's a stretch. Just take care of your skin and body and the rest will follow, if you get plastic surgery you'll age even worse.
Lots of women age well. Look at Audrey Hepburn, for example. My grandma too, she's 80 and looks 50-something, for her age that's fantastic. Don't fry your hair, get a beauty routine going, watch out what you put on your face and don't use 'vegan' makeup because that shit is terrible and badly made for the most part. Use oil, fragrance, paraben and alcohol-free products when possible, wear sunscreen or BB cream and don't put on too much product. When you're no longer pretty nothing will change if you made the right choices and focused on bettering yourself, education, building skills and advancing your career. Beauty fades and if you care for it too much it'll devastate you, aging is a natural process and no one should be scared of it. People concentrate on youth too much that they forget that youth isn't that great all the time. You'll be happier when you grow older, in part because you'll have enough confidence and experience to know better than to concentrate on how hot someone finds you.
Cheers and good luck.

You are crazy. I'm turning 25 this year, and everyone talks about how young I am. Stop beating yourself up. If you have a good skincare routine, you'll look gorgeous in your mid twenties to late fifties! Just stay out of the sun, wear sunscreen, drink lots of water, and of course exercise!

Thank you for your input. I just feel like less of a woman and I thought that I was almost a perfect hourglass.. until my small chest messed all of that up. I can't wear certain tops that flatter larger breasted women and I'll never be able to do cosplays that I want to do, despite having love for the characters. I've seen how nasty /cgl/ gets about small chested Yokos, even if the cosplay itself is well made and accurate. I don't get how they're 34B and some girls here have the same size and are able to use push up techniques with bras and taping, but mine won't do that. They just won't.

Uh, actually? Have you seen Yaya's?

And, aside from her, my own Mother's didn't look good. My Mother was built small like me and inflated her A cups to D cups. She gained weight with two more pregnancies, never got them fixed during routine check ups like you're actually supposed to be doing with implants (they aren't a one and done deal and sag as you age), and the doctor who performed her surgery actually destroyed a nerve in her one nipple. Her one nipple is now forever hard. Last year, she finally got them taken out. Although having given them some thought because I want to be larger up there, they are a lot of work. You have to be careful with weight gain among other things.

She does have masculine features and a chunky body, not to mention a flat ass with stretch marks on it. The implants really don't help, though. They actually make her appear heavier. The big, blue vein is pretty gross, too.

It's suggested to not go up more than 1-2 cup sizes. Of course, it all depends on the actual size of your boobs (as cup size doesn't mean anything concrete, really) but I wouldn't take it above a C cup to be safe. A reputable surgeon will go over this with you and make suggestions as to your final size.

In the end it's up to you. I would recommend a lot of self-reflection before getting implants, and if it's really worth it because it's just like BAM, TITTIES. They won't really feel like real boobs, and you have to make sure to get surgeon that will make them look realistic rather than weird and stick straight out.

Also ask about scarring and all that kind of stuff. Find a good surgeon, etc etc.

In the end, after talking to a surgeon, thinking about scarring, possible inability to breast feed, having to possibly do follow-up surgery etc, if you still want big boobies then do it!

Good luck, anon! ^^

First off, you're own personal experiences don't mean shit, so don't fucking pull that one.

Secondly, just fuck off with this all-knowing, future-seeing bullshit. Do you not realise how much saying "Oh, you'll probably change your mind" undermines people? Since dark skin tends to, well, darken even more when damaged (and lasers are just micro-tears in the skin that get healed over), they're not recommended for darker skinned people. It can usually make your scars worse.

And some people don't care about having a legacy.

Guys, go argue about having or not having children somewhere else.

Anyway, pic rel is pretty good, I never really thought of fat injections to the forehead as essential, but they look very nice. Though her eyelids look kinda uneven in the second picture. Hopefully that's just due to some post-op puffiness and will go away eventually.
